Edit; it was Mike Kearns but could be Pope as Len says0

Was 'only' 6'3''. His skinny gangly frame made him look about 8ft.BIG_ROB said:Leaburn

Hermann was 6'4" wasn't he? Probably the tallest I can remember.0
-
Greg Halford has got to be close to 6'5"0
-
Jason Lee when he had his pineapple up0

It was Mike Kearns (definitively - I had it checked by the great Colin Cameron) - but Nick Pope now has the crown0

I thought it was Halford, although I'm pleased if anyone can stop him getting a record for anything at all.
Anyone remember Johnny Harrison? Made Solly look like Duncan Ferguson.0 -
Harrison was the smallest player ever to play for Charlton - 5" 2 and 3/4 I believe though I ain't checked his precise height0
-
6' 41/2" according to wikifrancis4england said:Greg Halford has got to be close to 6'5"

What position was this Harrison?
Surely someone at school told him "you'll never make it son, you're too small"0 -
I think he was a kind of old fashioned right half who sometimes played full back - didn't make many appearances0
-
He was a winger if I remember rightly. He didn't play much and there was another little (slightly bigger) bloke called Alan Hart around the same time who I used to mistake him for and vice versa so I could be wrong!Chris_from_Sidcup said:What position was this Harrison?

Johnny Harrison was a winger, and bloody nippy too.

Chris Solly0

Little Johnny Harrison once nutmegged (ex-England, then playing for Coventry, centre half) Larry Lloyd, not with the ball, but by running (!) through his legs!0
-
Connor Gough 6'6" (now 6'7")0
