Need a decent Steak or BBQ resturant

    If its BBQ you are after Barbecoa near St Paul's is really good, as is Bodeans. Steak wise, as others have said Hawksmoor takes some beating

    Cactus pit is going to be a steak restaurant. Which is an interesting choice with Buenos aires and Cote close by. And I like both of them. Cote is more reasonable than BA.

    Make sure you get a table upstairs in BA Clem as its better to overlook Blackheath than stuck in the basement. Good food tho.

    There's a Brazilian one in the O2 where you pay about £20 and eat as much meat as you like, plus salad bar. They just keep bringing meat to you table, loads and loads of it till you beg them to stop!

    Sounds good, Clem. I've enjoyed the chomp in Gauchos but have never been to the Buenos Aires, Hawksmoor, or the other hearty recommendations. Just looking at their websites makes me drool...

    Been gauchos and really enjoyed it. But been told buenos aires tops it. Must book a table sometime

    Of the top end Steak houses I reckon Goodmans is the best. The City one is great, has a fantastic bar. I find Hawksmoor a bit up their own backside. Gauchos have always been known as the Money Brokers Berni Inn within the money markets.
