What's happened to Denmark lately then?

My wife is pissed off that the Danes won't be in Brazil now. She is going to have to support England now!0

or Sweden (if they make it)0

Too many mediocre players playing for mediocre teams. A few promising youngsters (like Erikson) but they are no way the finished article and sometimes go missing on the International scene. Key players like Agger (injury prone) and Bendtner (unreliable) missing doesn't help and they are still persisting with has beens like Romm and Jakobsen.ValleyGary said:Ha weird.

I actually don't think it matters who plays who before WC qualifiers, if anything I reckon it'll give those involved a bit more of a competitive edge going into the games.
They can get injured etc anytime, can't really see what Uncle Roy is moaning about to be honest, just getting excuses in early.0 -
Unfortunately someone will always complain about fixtures, be it the Manager of England or the Managers of the PL teams. Fact is every team has to play 38/46 league games, cup matches, etc. There will never be a "perfect" weekend where every manager is happy, and, I really don't understand this "players are tired/need resting" arguement. If they need a rest, don't fly them half way round the world for pre-season friendly.0

Possibly, but those two games will be played at a faster pace and a bit more 'lively'Elthamaddick said:I actually don't think it matters who plays who before WC qualifiers, if anything I reckon it'll give those involved a bit more of a competitive edge going into the games.

Plus they are likely to be moved to Sunday/Monday, meaning less recovery time prior to the Friday game.0 -
Agree. If we don't qualify from our group it will be our own fault. The articles i have read have all put words in roy's mouth though.Elthamaddick said:I actually don't think it matters who plays who before WC qualifiers, if anything I reckon it'll give those involved a bit more of a competitive edge going into the games.

There will be many foreign players in crucial wcq involved in them games as well. Not just english.0 -
He cant of got his excuse in early, as he and the FA requested that their would be no 'big' games on the weekend before, as SKY are likely to move them to Sunday/Monday, before the fixtures were released.
Thats a pretty simple and understandable request in my eyes0 -
Apparently all the Spanish English based players are playing tonight in the Confederations Cup.
