Bresnan as nightwatchman... Decided not to review, incorrectly. Ball didn't hit the bat.
  • Looks like its going to be 2-1.just curious to how they can bat and bowl on this wicket and we can't.need big centuries from cook and trott now.

still fancy the draw, get on it
  • got draw written all over it 2 days of rain
  • Hope so but watching England for a very very long time we are the best team in the world for major collapses.

draw, these days if you bat for nearly 2 days you need the next 3 to be rainless. That virtually never happens in manchester

Bairstow isn't test class. Might as well give him the rest of the series... No serious danger of us losing it... But need to look elsewhere

    Day 3 stumps. England 294/7, 233 behind.

No chance of an England win here and Aussies need to get us following on to force a result.

There's some skill there, but his dismissal was typical Bairstow, no real foot movement and playing at the ball with hard hands. He needs to be playing regularly in FC cricket for Yorkshire for the rest of the season and reassess. Taylor is in good form for Notts, I'd give him the next two Tests.

Warner opening with Rogers for the second innings, as he should've in the first.

England shove Australia out for 150 and it's still winable

Another DRS moment there - Warner stays in but England seem convinced he was out.

Nothing showed up on the replays TBF.

Likely draw with rain to come...

Aussies 4 down and 260 ahead - if we could get them out with a 300 lead who knows...

Doubt it will happen though with Clarke there.

Lazy running from Clarke and a horrible mix-up. Break this partnership and we're into the tail already.
