    Christian Bale in Empire Of The Sun is the winner for me.

    More recently I thought Kevin Hernandez was very, very good in How I Spent My Summer Vacation. Underrated movie that.

    Judy Garland in Oz .. and Shirley Temple in 'The Good Ship Lollypop' .. amongst many others .. the standard of 'child' acting just gets better & better

    Richard Attenborough in 'The Guinea Pig' (1942) in which he played a schoolboy. He was actually 23 at the time and his early bald spot had to be disguised with a 'piece'
