Summary

Charlton's third-gear progression up the table continued with another solid if unspectacular win away to a disappointing Birmingham side. Organisation and effort were once the key components in ensuring not just another victory, but another shut out for the Addicks. It is now nearly seven and a half hours since the Addicks conceded a league goal. Dale Stephens popped up in the six-yard to tap in the winner following ex-Addick Darren Randolph only parrying a Johnnie Jackson strike.

Onwards and upwards for the Addicks. Such is the languid decline around St Andrews these days, they couldn't even be bothered to beat anyone up following the defeat.
