    RIP a truly brilliant footballer and great sportsman. Remember the 1966 World Cup, when he seemed to beat the North? Korea team single handedly. Also remember his sporting gesture to Alex Stepney against Man Utd in European Cup Final. One of the all-time greats.

    My Portuguese friend Alfredo was really touched by the tributes and special programme on Sky Sport today.

    A true great. Had it not been for some of the most corrupt dealings in football history he may well have lifted a world cup and perhaps been recognized as top class player that he was.
