Grant Basey is the top pick for me. Unbelievable lack of acceleration1

Good old Grant 'treacle toes' Basey.0

Salim Kerkar2

Alex Dyer.
Saw him get outpaced by a 40 year-old Alvin Martin at Upton Park in September 1992.
Winning goal scored for us by the ever popular Alan Pardew.1 -

Most I would have named are listed above.
One that isn't is dear old Frank Haydock. I can remember seeing him left for dead and valiantly losing ground trying to get back on a number of occasions. Good in the air though.0 -
Mark Hudson... The day we signed him a mate of mine referred to him as having the turning circle of a barge... In fact I think the icebergs are melting quicker than he was over 10 yards0

Wash your mouth out with soap and water. Thommo didn't need to run.MrOneLung said:Might be memory playing tricks but what about Steve Thompson?

The Alex Dyer shout is spot on.
There was a game at Upton Park against Port Vale (I think), in the early 90's where he broke the offside trap and was ambling through on goal, and the PV centre half without breaking sweat not only caught up with Alex, but nonchalantly dispossessed him without even needing to get his shorts dirty.
Twenty odd years later I can still see the look of surprise on dear old Alex's boat.0 -

That was the game we won 2-0 but it pissed down all afternoon and we had one of our embarrassing 4,000 crowds!0 -
Think it may have been a Nelson/Leaburn double - far post header for Carl of course!
