From Cawley: Not sure if been confirmed yet as a #cafc deal, but Piotr Parzyszek trained with club this morning. Sounds done and dusted.

So as we stand it's Sordell and Church up front tomorrow ? Reza off the bench for when we go three down.

According to JT whose brother is training with us currently, and played against the first team this morning, Reza is starting with Poyet in the middle!

Poyet has tweeted about the 'long trip to Wigan' today, so maybe there's some truth in that.

That's it why don't just ring up Uwe and tell him? ;)

I have done, I told him they were all playing in goal. ;)

I've just thought have we got to play Bournemouth again this season?

yes, at The Valley (waiting to be rearranged as cancelled due to our Cup run)
I can already see the thread "will we clap or boo Yann"

Very first reason for why he wanted to go to Bournemouth "well they play football on the floor" - if that isn't a kick in the teeth to SCP, I don't know what is!!!

As others have said: he did great here, was offered a chance to stay but took more money elsewhere. Good luck to him - let's move on.

The thing is Yann ain't all that on the floor his main strength is in the air....
Ha ha ha, you're either looking for a reaction (oops you've got one) or you don't watch our games.
No unfortunately I watch a vast majority of our games. I just don't watch through charlton glasses he is really not that great, hence only Bournemouth coming in for him - not exactly a step up eh.

A lot of ppl big him up but he went missing a in games esp against the scum. I honestly think it is offensive to mention him as a legend alongside likes of Rufus, mendoncea, hunt, Robinson, leaburn, kinsella, hollands
Everyone went missing against the scum & nobody is comparing him with your so called legends, I would agree with some but Hunt (great player) Leaburn & Hollands are hardly legends but that's not what we're talking about. Your claim "he ain't all that on the floor" is clearly your biased opinion because he isn't as good as a Mendonca for instance. Kermogant is clearly a very skilful ball player & it is only because he is good in the air as well that we frequently resort(ed) to the hoof ball.

Can't see Poyet starting this one.

    Mind you how about:

    Hamer

    Hughes Morrison Dervite Wiggins

    Green Cousins Jackson Harriott

    Church Sordell

Subs. Phillips, Wood, Poyet, Lennon, Pritchard, Sho Silva, Cook

    ?

A starting line up like that would put the cat in don't you think?
So, the degree to which Chris Powell deviates from such a line up will tell us a lot about present circumstances.

Mind you, if the above team played and won, a lot of people would have a lot of thinking to do.

Am I the only one getting bored of reading constant digs from airman at the board from no matter who they are.

    So weird

    Yeah
Just so you're clear, I am not "digging out" the new board, constantly or otherwise. That's your false interpretation or memory or perhaps your own agenda. I don't really care.

My view is that it's too early to reach any judgement, positive or negative, and because I want the club to do well I wish them well.

That's quite different from mentioning things I've heard - which let's face it goes on here every day from all sorts of people - or disagreeing with an individual decision. I think selling Yann in our present situation is a foolish decision, but as I also said it will need to be looked at in the round with so much going on.

If we stay up from this situation the board will have done well. If we don't then it's likely that they will have messed up, but we'll see.

I know some of you are desperate for me to have "an agenda" against RD to suit your view of what went on before. That fact is that I don't, and to my knowledge neither does anyone else - Steve Dixon, former staff, current staff, whoever. There are just people with opinions and concerns about the club they love.

There are far more important things happening than these endless nonsensical claims about people's motives, so how about we leave it there?

In his interview Reza says he is fit, he does not appear to be a guy who looks for excuses.

    Same point.
  • Even if it's exciting today, give it till 5 o'clock tomorrow and if (when) we have been turned over by Wigan, everyone on here will be saying how in-sufficient the new signings are to keep us up.
  • Midfield still very very weak.

It isnt all doom and gloom. The way i see it we still have our defence, which is the joint second best in the bottom half of the table, our main problem has been scoring goals. We have lost dale and yann but the new signings of hopefully replacements and extra wingers/strikers will hopefully complement our defence and move us away from relegation. The way it was going with the existing team we hadnt a hope of scoring enough goals to stay up, so lets just give it a chance.

    What did it say AB

    Powell fuming and knows nothing

Like I said the other day who told SD something like that

Had to be someone he trusted someone with an agenda

He worked at cafc long enough to know you don't post things like that and how harmful it can be to say such things

Someone told him someone wanted to cause trouble

So if it wernt SD then who was it and why hang SD out as well as powell

Couldn't just be that he's a fan who heard something shocking from a reliable source, then? I would guess there are a lot of pissed off people at the training ground right now and they are talking to people outside the club, but framing it as a conspiracy led by "dark forces" is way over the top.
    Exactly.

Add it to the wages saved and the Stephens money, that's a couple of good loan signing on fees.....

Stephens money will be spent on Piotr Parzyszek heard that was 800k so that really does leave around 200k

The last time we lost our cult hero at the time (or so we thought) was semedo, we had a complete change of team with dozens of incomings and outgoings that saw us lose 1 maybe 2 games in the first half of the season. More of the same for the last half of this - we can hope. Albeit they are from feeder teams and we have sold some good players, but as Powell mentioned in his conference, all of the players we are being linked with were on his radar before the takeover.
