See it occasionally in Academy football. Chelski had one a couple of years ago. Came out the changing rooms scratching his balls and texting on his phone. Was supposed to be under 10 at the time!! The Charlton boys could feel the ground shaking as he approached them and not surprisingly were intimidated, often just kicking the ball away.

When he went to a tour in Holland with them he got turned away at Heathrow as was on a false passport. Apparently was from French Guiana and enquiries there showed him to be at least 13.

It was so obvious what they were doing and so pointless and totally an injury risk to the younger boys. He was so Huge that the Chelsea coach was looking up to him during the team talk.

I remember him being at my Christening !
  • There was a kid in my nephew's team - he was 6'1" before he was 12. Full beard before he was 14. It happens

That being said, that bloke looks about 40 so it's probably not legit.
  • Surely FIFA can just do a bone test on this Lazio 'kid'. They introduced them a few years ago at the Under 17 world cup because the likes of Ghana and Nigeria always used to turn up to tournaments with almost their entire squads being in their mid 20s.

Was that American/Ghanaian kid who's name I've forgotten ever found out?
About ten years ago, when he was '14' he was doing keepie ups on the telly and played on the MSL.

About 10 years ago, a Chelsea supporting friend of mine got chatting with an African Cab driver, just after the signing of Didier Drogba, & asking the cabbie what he thought of him, got the reply "Didier Drogba, he is a good player, but I don't know how long he will last, he is nearly 45 years old. Lots of African players lie about their age!" :-D

When the authorities introduced that bone testing procedure and were gonna test the Nigerian youth teams loads of the squad pulled out or were unavailable!

    From Wiki:

Heading into the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup, head coach Henry Nwosu was replaced by John Obuh, coach of Kwara United. Last year[2] The planning was thrown into disarray however in August when over half the team was determined by bone scanning to be overage and excluded from the team.[3]

Hasn't this long been the rumour with South American players too - particularly the Brazillians?

New wonder kid turns up, sets the world alight, burnt out by the time he's "30".

Does the winner/closest guess get to keep him? Like at school fairs?

If so, then this is a serious game and therefore it deserves a serious guess.... 52?
  • Happy 18th birthday for yesterday to young Master Minala.

I'd always assumed his birthday was February 29th bit apparently not.
