What else went wrong for you over the weekend?

Ok, Charlton were awful, but to make others feel a tiny bit better about their weekend, what else went wrong for you?

I'll start.

After a long drive back I got home to find that our tortoise had shat on our living room carpet and then smeared it everywhere as he dragged himself around the room. It looked like someone had had a dirty protest in there.

Luckily for me my missus is used to cleaning up shit having lived with me for so long.

I still can't get the image out my head of a 50 year old bald bloke grinding on a pole on an empty dancefloor to the tune of Jason Donavan. That's how classy Reflex was

Certainly wasn't me. I stood out like a sore thumb though as I was the only bloke with a full head of hair!

I wouldn't expect a tortoise to be housebroken any more than I expected Charlton to win today!

Worst thing that happened to me today, I had to watch grown men wrestle cows, then listen to Selena Gomez sing. Urgh!

I wish I could say I had a shit weekend outside of Charlton - but that's not the case. Ended up playing in the late night jam sessions at the Bristol International Jazz & Blues Festival, which was immense. Shared a stage with some incredible musicians, including the likes of Pee Wee Ellis who was in James Brown's band. Did I hold my own? Eerrrrrr... I hope so. But what a privilege it was.
  • I drove up, and back, with my dad and with the lovely weather I had a great day. We lost, but we both expected us to, so a great day out with good company and a poor football game with the wrong result.

Oh, and as soon as I got home, my son gave me a big cuddle. Lovely day!

Overly enthusiastic staff member in subway asked me how I was

she then told me they had run out of meatball marinara.

So I asked her to ask me again.

Viktoria Plzen visited Sparta and they didn't really turn up either. Although they nearly equalized in injury time when down to 9 men. So at lead they showed SOME spirit.

Got home to find our 19 year old had had a party, much like the one on the old Yellow Pages advert.

I take it your still on your Texan jolly, or was this in Reigate? Anyway, while you were enjoying yourself your sister was busy reversing into a concrete bollard and bending her new motor.

I generally had a good weekend apart from the game yesterday and the results on Saturday. With an old mate from 30 years ago and my son , we had a proper old school away weekend.

On Staurday I went to Alfreton V Lincoln and enjoyed the match. We stayed in a guest house in the shadows of Hillsborough Stadium and went to the away pub up the road until 1am. It had live music ,although the singer was not exactly Roy Orbison he sounded much better as the night wore on after I had more to drink.

At 1am walking back to the guest house my friend and I in a moment of nostalgia for our youth in the 80's said we should do this more often. At 2pm Sunday walking back to Sheffield Station I realised why we didn't.

Drove over a nail on way home to Twickenham, long waitr for RAC, Tyre fitter was a chirpy Chelsea fan who could have done the job in 10 minutes instead of 45 if he stopped talking, subsequently got caught in Twickenham Rugby traffic so missed entire first half, switched on TV and Sheffield United scored twice.

The football hurt but it's not that important.
firstly one of our best friends 3yo has just been diagnosed with leukemia
secondly my niece is in hospital has been for 5 days she's only 9.
lastly my wife's cousin was murdered at the end of last week.
    awful week.
The football doesnot matter that much today.
  • our coach had no toilet and was from Sudans luxury travel we even had farmers with goats and a man with 100 boxes on his head on the roof
