Just popped down the ground for a cuppa. Pitch looks really decent.

    NWC, fair point and why not. Every sympathy from me for PP and his team, they do a fab job, and this year must have been particularly tough on them..

    Certainly it's the first year for a while they've struggled to produce a decent pitch.

    Next year will be a breeze

    Looks like Paddy and co have been working very hard, having a run of away games when the weather finally improved has been bit of a hidden blessing by the look of it - especially as we also gathered 6 pts.

    Someone should turn that telly off though and save the leccy.

    When I was in the army, our colonel-in-chief, Princess Diana was coming to the barracks on a visit. The grass banks by the barrack gates were threadbare and scorched brown, so armed with brushes and pots of green paint, we transformed it into lush looking lawn. Anyone know if the club have ordered 1000 litres of green paint lately?

    Today was so frustrating everyone slipping over all the time ! But the annoying thing was it was always our players and not readings !

    Looks can be deceiving. The pitch is still poor. No reflection on peoples' efforts but its very hard for any team to entertain on that.
