£150 season tickets

Apologies if somebody has mentioned this, joining the discussion late. But how will the club prevent somebody buying a £150 ticket then moving to an empty (more expensive seat) elsewhere in the stand?0

I can't wait to see how the club prevent the tightarses moving along a block or two.
There's no doubt that block B and C will be significantly underpopulated compared to A, so there will definitely be plenty of room
A good test would be to look at A block on the first game of the season (apparently its sold out already?) and then see how many are actually there!0 -
The stewards will be told that anyone wearing a tracksuit and a large amount of gold plated metal jewellery and/or have very little teeth and look like they haven't washed for a few weeks should be in Block A.MuttleyCAFC said:Apologies if somebody has mentioned this, joining the discussion late. They will then ask these people to get back into Block A where they belong.9 -
I've moved from upper north to A block because of cheap seat and for banter/atmosphere!
I've always stood/sat in the proper covered end and only moved upstairs because that is where the noise went, but I have never liked it up there and would much rather have a mass move to the reel covered end and be closer to the pitch
I will give the A block a few games but if I don't like it I will move back to the N Upper, (not the covered end)0 -

I'll quite happily pay £300 for that!!0 -

Does this mean I will not be able to wear my usual three piece suit and cravat as I may get kicked out of A block and put in the directors' box?1 -

I used to like you @Brendan_O_Connell despite what the rest of the Lifers think about you :-)Brendan_O_Connell said:If these £150 tickets mean that all of you scumbags are moving from the covered end to the east, which in turn results in me getting a beer quicker at half time then I'm all for it.

Anyway, what Charlton are actually plannig to do for A blockers, is to rubber stamp their forewards with "cheapskate" :-)1 -
Someone at the ticket office is going to read this and think "s*** why didn't we think of this!"1

New fence between A Block and rest of East Stand erected today.

I have it on good authority that STs and tickets will all be electronic anyway. There will be a swipe card system on your seat to ensure right ticket (age, row, number etc) is in the right seat and a steward gets beeped if anything is wrong.
North Lower and Lower tier of away end to be standing once this is allowed. Away capacity goes to 4500.

This is going to be so funny. I'd go so far as to say that the prospect of watching this comic soap opera unfold was a factor in my decision to stay in L block, upper west. Might bring my binoculars to the first game.

It'll be a tattoo not a rubber stamp. From the new "improving the match day experience" in-stadium tattoo parlour.Covered End said:

(You can take the boy out of A Block. But you can't take A Block out of the boy.)
A new precis of the match day programme will also be available exclusively to A Block patrons. It will just be the front and back cover plus a message from RD and an advert for electronic cigarettes. It will cost 50p.2 -
“The early indications are looking promising with approximately 10 per cent of ticket sales coming from new members, with more than half of that number choosing to sit in a range of zones around the ground,” said Chief Commercial Officer Ben Kensell.
“This is encouraging because it means that the newly-reconfigured stadium plan is proving a success in encouraging fans back to The Valley and ensuring supporters are able to renew at a price point which is acceptable to them.”

Ben Kensell is MSE7 and I claim my free ticket for spotting this first.
Anywhere other than A block please Ben.1 -
Not so sure people will be able to buy a cheap ticket and then move to another area.
The club has a computer system telling them which seats have been sold. In theory the club has a cctv system that allows them to identify whether someone is sat in a certain row of seats, possibly even which seat they are sat in.
Suspect warnings will be given early in the season. This may be followed up with suspensions.2 -
Resources may be better applied to the smoking issues?0

This from a club that still doesn't use chip and pin in the ticket office? I very much doubt that.SheffieldRed said:
