A dispute over £61,000 wasn't enough, personally I think this is disgraceful and is just another sign of how money ruins his sport.

Bunch of arseholes. Isn't representing your country enough reward?0

I'm assuming that, for some of them, 61k is life changing money.LargeAddick said:Bunch of arseholes. Isn't representing your country enough reward?
Reminds me of when the Windies played England in a one-off game for the Stanford Cup, and every player was guaranteed a million dollars for the winners. Windies duly won, and some of the lesser paid Windies players put their winnings into accounts in Stanfords Bank - only for them to lose it all when it went bust some months later when it was found to be a 'Ponzi'.

I vaguely remember that - but wasnt it a more sombre reason like they had been involved in a plane crash that had wiped out half the team some months earlier and they wanted some financial payment to the families of the beareaved?North Lower Neil said:

The Togo team bus was attacked by rebels at the Africa Cup of Nations in Angola a few years later, unrelated though.The_President said:
