Perhaps they can fix the turnstiles in the West Upper(towards the Jimmy Seed), 3 out of 4 were out of use by the last two games, thought they were trying to stop us coming in!
Oh yeah, the lights in the toilets were out of action as well.
Other than that all is tickety boo

This is presumably so next years "Sea of Red" event actually looks red rather than being patches of red floating in a sea of dusty pink.

I expected this to be another joke thread and wanted to read about the seat replacement process at another club.

Credit to the board. They don't seem afraid to spend money on infrastructure.

Next please - hot water in the East Stand, toilet doors that lock, toilet seats that are fixed to the pan and air dryers that work.

Seriously, pleased to see this work being done as the ground was/is looking a bit shabby.

They could have just moved those seats to "A" block to give the cheapskates the facilities they deserve. :-)

Harsh, good idea though as they won't be used with everyone standing :-0

Fair play to Roland for getting this work done. But the biggest requirement is getting our squad up to strength in what is going to be a very competitive Championship.

  • Build it and they will come

Give the old lady a spruce up is a great way of making the players feel like they are at a progressing club rather than a club falling back

    It's a great move

    New pitch new seats

New feel to it all a new broom sweeping clean

Positive move not only for obvious cosmetic reasons but also IMHO indicates that RD is not here to spend the minimal amount of money possible and wants the club to be looked after on every level. What's not to like.

I wouldn't touch a seat from the Covered End if it was glazed in honey.

    We have two.

How much do you want to pay to help the museum?

Henry, out of interest - does the Museum have any examples of the old wooden ones from the original Grandstand?

Probably a skip load available at The Valley ?
  • All we need now is pie and mash on the menu and we're sorted.

Nope, I was one of the poor buggers who loaded a lorry with hundreds of them to go to the recyclers. By the way there are some filthy sods around who have whole rows of chewing gum stuck to the bottom of their seats- yuk
  • Looks like the Scum are coming for a pre-season 'friendly' and to save any damage to the frames, they've removed the seats and stacked them ready. Take one, walk to the end of the row, and throw!

Never mind that wooden rubbish, I sat in one of the old leather cinema seats they put in the jubilee club that the club bought when they closed the woolwich odeon down
