We are doing this on my website next week when it goes live challenging a few of our competitors and customers0
-
How do you post videos? Seen some hilarious ones, my 13 year old done one today0

Anyone on instagram should check out Marco Materazzi's challenge. 2 short videos, my favourite so far, his account name is iomatrix23.0
-
Only issue i have with this is that too many people are forgetting the fundraising reason behind doing this and are just turning it into a social media fad. I know someone who did it and I asked how he donated and his reply was 'donated to what?'1

Everyone will have forgotten about the Ice Bucket challenge next week, quite literally it was last week.nth london addick said:We are doing this on my website next week when it goes live challenging a few of our competitors and customers

how people can moan, when this sort of money is being raised, on just this link (a UK link), let alone the phone donations.2 -
Anyone see Patrick Stewart's?1

This is the only thing that's annoyed me during this craze.2 -
well, considering it wasnt thought up by any organisation, who cares who they're giving money to as long as they're going to reputable charities that need the money.SELR_addicks said:http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/macmillan-cancer-accused-of-hijacking-the-ice-bucket-challenge-9688310.html

Who are you annoyed about? Macmillan or the people accusing?0

The idea is either to do the challenge or donate. It's an awareness raiser. I wasn't even aware if this horrible disease.
I read that the reason it's ice bucket being poured over you, is because for one moment it makes you feel paralysed. Much like a sufferer of the disease.
I didn't like how Macmillan jumped on it tbh as it's nothing to do with what their charity stands for and is stopping the correct charity receiving donations.
Anyway. Here's my ice bucket challenge.0 -
Not what I thought you looked like at all! Good work.0

but it's not created by any charity, it started when a high profile sufferer of MND in the states nominated his old team mates.Greenie Junior said:The idea is either to do the challenge or donate. It's an awareness raiser. I wasn't even aware if this horrible disease.

As the article i posted says, it's just narcissism and hashtag activism thinly veiled with altruism the reason for it's popularity. I know some one who passed away last year with the disease, it's horrible but i won't take part in throwing ice water over myself (if nominated) to show what a lad i can be to all my facebook friends. I'd just donate the money. Better yet, set up a monthly direct debit which will help more than donating a tenner now.5 -

Macmillan for trying to make it all about them over another disease that gets far less publicity in the mainstream.Callumcafc said:Who are you annoyed about? Macmillan or the people accusing?

It's great, it's raised awareness and got money in for a great cause. It's not just that people who knew nothing about motor neuron disease now being aware of its kids such as my usually selfish (due to her condition) daughter donating their pocket money to a cause they previously wouldn't have, just because she wanted to take part but nonetheless money for ALS. Yes there are some people jumping on the bandwagon and not donating a penny but as previously said if only 25% are actually donating it's still thousands more than would have done without this "annoying, Facebook trend". Well done everyone who has taken part or just donated.1

My girlfriend was peering over my shoulder while I was watching that...she is now almost in tears. Very moving and yes you are right we shouldn't take anything for granted. Wont spoil it for others, but good luck to him and good on him.TravHouse said:Makes you appreciate how easy it is to take life for granted sometimes..

I grew up idolizing Joost Van Der Westhuizen, one of the greatest Springbok rugby players of all time who was diagnosed with the ALS.orpingtonRED said:
