"Supporter in pencil case search shock"
    It all happens on here.....
  • Shocking revelations from charlton travelling fans, I've never thought of taking a pencil case to a football ground, might have to give it a try for Millwall away, at least if it's a dull match I can do a crossword.

Did anyone who went yesterday find the stewarding outside the ground a little too fussy. I have a small little pencil case in my bag with a few small nicnacs if I need them like a charger and wanted to check it and most places they don't check it. I know it's called New York but it's called the New York stadium in Rotherham, not JFK airport in New York.

    Very good.
  • Seriously? If you're a man you shouldn't be taking a bag to football. Sorry.

What do you have to take that can't fit in your pockets?

a pencil case, including protractors and calculators...
  • AddickFC81 am telling you now, stop writing! We know you have a pencil case and all the nicknacks but your just gonna make it worse, its not the way to redeam yourself!

No I just use an old pencil case to put a mobile charger and couple of smaller things to stop them from getting lost in my bag. most of the time no one asks about it. But because it's so small thats what slightly irritated me as I can't fit a glass bottle or can inside it yet they still aske dand looked inside the smallest things. I had no pencils, rulers, rubbers, compass, protactor etc etc. If I want a calculator I use the one on my phone which is my trouser pocket.
  • Am sorry, this is real! There's just no helping some people, oh dear....

Whenever I go to an away game, AddickFC81 is often the first "face" I see.
I always see him, because he's always there and tbf he's there so early, he probably needs all his bags to carry his full days' supplies :-)

    My pockets on matchday contain:

    Home game:
    Money

    Wallet
    Phone
    Season ticket
Tissue (in case Chris Solly scores).

    Away game:
    Money
House keys (in case the missus locks me out....again!)
    Wallet
    Phone
    match ticket
Tissue (in case we hang onto a lead).

I cannot think of anything else I would need to take to a football match.

Why would you keep your money and your wallet seperate???

(unless you're doing the loop train from your affluent abode via the shanty town favelas of Slade Green, Erith, Belvedere and Plumstead)

That is one reason AFKA (I come round the loop from Bexley).

The real reason though is that I'm pretty pissed after three pints and don't want to have to route around in my wallet for cash when it's my round.

You could always get the first one rather than having to be prompted.
