[cite]Posted By: Kap10[/cite]The blokes behind me were slagging off players throughout the match, Ambrose particularly, also Bhougherra and Iwelumo, no pleasing some people.

Same here, North Lower B block is a hotbed of negativity, some highlights from last night...

Bloke to our highest scorer when subbed:

"Go on Chris, f*ck off you useless c*nt, your rubbish!"

Woman all game every time Sam touched the ball:

"Stop showing off you idiot, you just look like a twat"

6 year old to his Dad in the toilet at the end of the game:

"that was a great game wasn't it Dad?!"

    Dad:

"er... no.. not really, lucky result if you ask me"

for god sake!... why not stick a pin in his Charlton balloon while your at at?!

    some people...

Pards has stumbled across this centre half partnership and thank god he has.

Paddy not the most talented player but by god he makes up for it with passion and grit and feel it irs rubbing off on the other players.

As for fans we had the mugs behind us slagging Sam so how we give it to 'em when he scored

What a load of twats, Dan and sadly there's plenty more where they came from.

I was just thrilled with the atmosphere at the end - the players' reaction to the result, the noise on the walk out and away from the area, the lot - not felt that for a long, long time.

We ought to have won 4-0 and can get much, much better but I couldn't have felt negative last night if i'd tried.

In fairness, he did sign them both.

Very pleased with them last night and great to see Magic's quality coming through - although he did let Fuller through once when he should've scored.

Looking good at the back now with these two and Youga and Sodje should be back in contention soon as well.

I was one of McCartney's biggest critics...hats off to the bloke, man of the match for me....long may it continue.

Had the usual pair of wankers behind me complaining about everything Iwelumo did....ridiculous. East stand next against the scum...hopefully some passionate supporters!

[cite]Posted By: StrikerFirmani[/cite]Absolutely Not, the guy is a carthorse just getting away with it because the strikers in this div are mainly large lumps which is right up his street. When he is up agianst a tricky pacey player will show his attribute again. However I hope the bloke turns in good performances. A clean sheet at last hope him & Boogy keep it up.

Because Todd, Youds, Tiler, Balmer, Chapple were all footballing geniuses with bags of pace weren't they?

Youds was always swift when it was opening time at The Railway in Blackheath....

And not forgetting Jorge Costa .......who skippered Porto in European competition and for his country in the
    World Cup Finals.

Bit slow though, wasn't he? ;-)

None of those guys (except perhaps Todd) really succeeded in the Premiership.

At this level the defenders you mention can do a good job.

And, of course, Sweaty Balmer & Chapple never played in the Prem.

But, as you say Bing, good enough for this level.

he's very easy on the eye too. i saw him in the pub the other week didnt recognise him as a charlton player as he was so handsome.
  • Paddy has had some stonking games against sides that play to his strengths,but:-

    1) Luckily Fuller was mainly up on his own, so we had two to deal with him
    2) His first reaction when the player he is marking gets the ball is to put his arms round him
    3) He had a handful of a guy's shirt as he ran accross the box in the 1st half but got away with it
    4) Heaven help us if the oppo have a little quick bloke (or two)

Yup, was good to someone get a bit involved when that twat nearly cut Youga in half. How he didn't get a straight red I don't know.

ps that ref looked totally gutted when we scored.
