Dental implants
UK or abroad?
Southern or northern England for value.
Need to get one/two done and it isn't cheap.
Any help appreciated.
Already have one and felt I was robbed (2800.00)
This was a few years ago though.

If it was caused by an accident you should be able to get it done on NHS0 -
Paid about that for mine. Hospital lane dental clinic Maidstone, excellent service and treatment, but pricey.0

When I was in Goa there were loads of People in our hotel getting them done took a couple of trips though apparently it was a third of the price in the UK.Have also seen loads of clinics in Thailand and you get a happy ending as well5

I worked with a fella from Slovakia and he reckons their dentists are way better than ours and a third of the price. I know a few people that have had ops in Eastern Europe and swear by it.0

If I could afford it I'd have every last one of my tumbledown graveyard ones taken out and replaced by decent ones.0

I've heard of people going to Vietnam. So much cheaper that you get your holiday for free.
My dentist seems to be a bit of an implant specialist, in that he trains others. advancedentalclinic.com/
But you'll pay the full whack. I bottled it when he said I'd need bone grafts.0 -
I would certainly recommend Thailand or Vietnam. Prices are very good. Plenty of people have it done there. And as mentioned you will get a holiday out of it0

a friend went to india and got his done for half the price as here.0

Most implants need bone grafts. When they put the tooth socket in they but a little bovine bone graft in, then that is left for couple of months to grow into the jaw. You then go back and have the tooth put into the implanted socket that's now firmly in your jaw .
And yes £2800 for one ! A bridge is about £1400 and will not last last. My man said it will be the last tooth in my mouth ! It was at the front and I could not stand a plate or a gap.0 -

Girl I work with from Lithuania went away for 3 weeks back home. Having her teeth done. Came back with massive knockers so watch yourself if you go that route5

I had two done maybe 20 years ago when implant technology was new. Can't fault them. But pricy, GBP3,000 a piece back then. They are cheaper now (much cheaper in relative terms).
The cost in Thailand is around GBP1200 - 1300. Yes, you get a holiday out of it, in fact you'd get two as the initial treatment is done but you need six months or so for the bone to attach itself firmly to the titanium implant before the crown can be fitted.0 -
So buy the time he takes his wife and kids out on a six month holiday not much cheaper than getting it done at home?0

I paying about £3,500 for two at a Hungarian dentist surgery based in London (cheaper if you go to Hungary). I've had to have a bone graft. Whole process will have taken a year by the time its finished and I reckon I'll have had about 100 injections into my gums. While the dentists have been perfectly competent, tbh I'd not have started it had I known what lay ahead.0

That's assuming you don't need a bone graft, in which case you'd have to go out three times.0 -
Forgot overseas back street dentists.
Bupa have just fitted an implant (front tooth) £1750 including ct scans. You dont have to be a private patient and offer payment options.
You also get the after care if anything needs sorting.
