Whenever I think of Blackburn, the image I have is of north stand steve, off his face, dancing around the pub near their ground whilst holding a burning picture of shearer, singing "Alan shearer is a wanker, is a wanker" before the 1 0 cup game.

Can I be the first to ask......what would you prefer, 3 points on the 20th Dec or a win on the 3rd Jan ??

3 points on the 20th December because I coiuldnt bear the thought of you being unhappy over he Xmas period. The season of goodwill to all men is fast approaching and you need a break. :-)

I am worried the FA Cup hasn't accounted for the fact that we draw every single game we play. I think we'd manage to find a way to draw the penalty shootout...

The FA is going old school this season and abandoning penalty shoot outs.
Games ending in a draw will go to a replay, second replay, third......we'll still be playing third round in May.
If we were involved in a penalty shootout it would be 1 - 0.
    Or 0 - 1!!!

Depends - if we beat Blackpool on Sat I'd go for 3 points cause that will get us into the playoff places. If we lose or draw at Blackpool POs are looking a bit far away, we're probably not in danger of relegation and we could do with the feelgood factor / raised profile and money from going to the next round.

We are going to win both though, so no worries.
  • Cannot believe we got Man City away again, surly it can't be as bad as last time (or the second half)

What's not to like? A great match-up between 2 previous winners. Ah the magic of the cup.

For the bookies as very few will have money on 8-1

I'd have been surly too if we'd been thrashed like that.

Seriously cannot understand football fans banging on about wanting big games "for the money".

Are you football fans or spreadsheet fans at a weekend?

    You shouldn't have asked that

In all seriousness, I know it's not the greatest draw, but it's a shame the reaction the Cup provokes now from (all) supporters unless you draw one of the few glamour clubs.

I don't go to football to see the oppo, I go because I want my team to do well and hopefully see an entertaining game, and I love going to The Valley. Either me or the missus will be there, couldn't imagine a Valley cup game without one of us going.

Hopefully it will be a decent game and a win.

    Setting: AFKA Household

AFKA: No, go on love. You go and have a lovely day out and I'll look after the kids.

Ha, this normally occurs if I've been out on the sauce in a Friday night and somehow managed to set the house alarm off at 2am !

I'd love City away, never been to the Etihad, weekend in Manchester, Jackson against Yaya Toure...
  • Man City vs Wendies again LOL

Any guesses how many they'll put past the Wendies this time? 8? 9?

If Manchester City are anywhere near as good as Stevenage, Wednesday could be in for a thrashing

You're excused mate, Stewart or one of us will look after you for the glamour tie in round 4. :-)

Sure Bob will rest some our first teamers to make it an even more attractive fixture to turn up to. It would have been difficult , other than Huddersfield to have a worse draw.
  • Dissapointed, really wanted a trip away to a non-league club but we had a "boring" set of draws last season yet got one game from a trip to Wembley, atleast it is a winnable tie, COYR this is gonna be our year. ;-)
  • Even on the cup run it was a shit draw time after time

A decent time would be nice, the spurs day out a few yrs back with Keith p in charge I think it was, was the last decent draw

We'll just have to beat them and get a decent draw in the 4th round.
