Spurs: Keller, Perry, King, Bunjevcevic, Carr, Freund (Iversen 60), Sheringham (Ferdinand 60), Keane. Unused sub: Sullivan, Taricco.

Charlton: Kiely, Rowett, Fish (Konchesky 74), Rufus, Young, Jensen (Kishishev 82), Parker, Powell, Euell, Bartlett (Fortune 89), Lisbie. Unused subs: Johansson, Roberts.

Referee: Andrew P D'Urso (Billericay)

Ziege was sent off for two yellow cards resulting from fouls on Lisbie and Parker.

This was Charlton's 100th away league draw in top flight football.

The Addicks finished 12th with Jason Euell top scoring with 11 goals (10 Premiership).

  • They must hate us. Or if they don't, they should. We have a great record over them in those Premier years.

    I seem to remember some desperate defending late in this game and ultimate relief that we'd held on for a point. You wouldn't get that now, would you......?
  • In those days was doing the my family one day, wife's family the other day split over Christmas and Boxing day, so we couldn't go to this one. Remember being glued to teletext though and it being so predictable us losing a 2 goal lead
  • Those were the days glued to teletext waiting for the screen to refresh
  • Cost me and a few spurs boys a few grand this game and Rufus cleared one of the line in the final minute

    We had all chucked on euell first goal and spurs to win 3-2

    Was in the home end as normal cheering the boys on especially when euell got the 2nd

    By the time Iverson scored it was all spuds I thought we were on here for grandage, from my hazy memory there was 8 of us all who chucked a score each on the euell first goal spurs 3-2 at ridiculous odds
