If true I would say that changes things slightly. The players and staff might actually be happy to see Luzon come in.NWCorner said:
Pretty much ties in with what I was told last week. There was also a big bust up in Oct, where Bob rubbished and ridiculed Michael Morrison in front of all the lads which did not go down well at all and things have got worse from there. He was not liked at all at SL.cafc999 said:
Are you just agreeing with what reams has posted or do you know that what he has posted to be true?NWCorner said:Reams has got it spot on !
I think DM and BR will be pleased to see the back of him !
A question was put to one of the back room team (I won't say who) after the game on Sat from someone I know that Bob could get the sack, the answer was " good, everyone fucking hates him ".
I have a feeling we are going to be surprised at the impact he leaves on the club and am fully expecting our fortunes to change for the better from here on in (call me mad if you want).5 -
They need to understand what he is saying first....................but what you're saying is valid.flyingkiwiDK said:

A shame if it's BP who effectively forced Morrison out, especially as Birmingham are now 3 points AHEAD of us...NWCorner said:

It justifies BP's sacking, but then there weren't many arguing very hard with that decision. As others have already said, the main beef people seem to have is with Luzon's appointment and more over the way it was handled. How ever much of an arse BP was that provides no justification for events since his sacking.6

Too many stories of unrest around for there not to be something in them. I never had a problem with Peeters going, but did and still do have problem with the way they've handled Luzon's appointment.
The other parts of that post are interesting, if true, particularly regarding RD's apparent greater interest than suspected and any potential incomings. It may be a case that he was unwilling to invest in players outside of the network while Bob was around. The proof to that will be in any activity that happens this month.
While the decisive action on Peeters' departure, again if these stories are true, is welcome, it should be noted that RD took a big risk appointing him in the first place and so he must be accountable for that. Perhaps this makes his appointment of his trusted ally Luzon more understandable - if RD feels he has personally been let down by any untoward behaviour from Bob.
The issue of honesty is still a big one though, and they could have handled this much better.
Let's hope for a positive start on Saturday and some external incomings later in the month.5 -

Because they appoint managers from outside the network, that manager is also allowed a say on transfers, they also sign players from outside their network. Oh, and the manager is allowed to pick the team as well.colin1961 said:Not done Watford any harm

Glad to hear that RD IS WATCHING THE SAME SHIT AS ME EVERY WEEK ,29

I don't discount this story at all, or at least the gist of it. But taking it at face value, why was BP still there and why did KM contribute such an ill thought-out article for the programme knowing this was going on in the background, thereby exposing herself to ridicule the following day. Indeed, how did the genius that is RD appoint such an apparently woeful individual as head coach in the first place, dispensing with the successful Riga to do it?21

my son was on a night out where he bumped into a U21 Charlton player and another 1st team player, he told me he jokingly sang a charlton song and they responded in a humourers and good natured way, They got chatting etc , they did seem a little pissed according to my son,but when he asked what Peeters is like and this is the response he got .. " hes a right pr*** mate, proper up his own arse".
Now i know you could be thinking " we did you just tell us this now" but i kept this information disclosed as i didn't really want to say anything as i felt it wasn't called for and liked bob ( this was a couple of weeks ago we was on a bad run) and JUST INCASE the 2 players saw this, it puts my son in a bad light but i feel now maybe its necessary. After i just see this it kind off we links together but again you must take the story from reams with a pinch of salt .. but MAYBE it could be true.
I swear on all my grandchildrens life the information i disclosed was true and will NOT say the players names under any circumstances as i feel that was a break of trust, also i know my son isnt lying as he has photos with the players and had no reason to like, Also was a HUGE peeters fan.
It does get you wondering

That interview could of been as short as Guy's1 -
It's a good point. Wasn't Riga universally popular at the club?Airman Brown said:I don't discount this story at all, or at least the gist of it. Great point there.
But just a little info i got:
RD didn't appoint Riga because he had the knack of walking out of jobs after a year and didnt want Riga to do it to Charlton,( i was told from someone i trust)
Which brings the question as to "Okay so why a 1yr deal then if he wants a long term coach" Answer if simple, Money.
Its cheaper for us to sack a coach with a shorter contract, He also told me, sacking peeters cost shirt buttons, so looks like RD had that one spot on.2 -
I was also told this about RigaCharltonByBlood said:Callumcafc said:

Tony Pulis confirms Paul Jewell was in for the job

If it's true, and not spin started by the club (my paranoia from recent events). Certainly sounds more than plausible, though. We coild all see players were refusing to play for him. Didn't like the bloke (gut feeling) when he arrived.Greenie Junior said:Although that news is quite positive, that still, for me, doesn't excuse his appointment of Luzon
But yeah, the Luzon appointment is inexcusable, but so was the Peeters appointment!

Don't doubt Peeters was a bully and don't doubt he fell out with key players. He never stuck me as a "father figure" type mentor. Many foresaw these problems when he was appointed.
But Roland decided he was the one to lead the team (and backed him with a whole twelve month contract!) and six months later he's had to sack him.
How does any of that show Roland in a better light?
Then the Luzon debacle. Now, does Luzon, who we've already seen arguing aggressively with supporters of his previous clubs, strike anyone as anything different than Peeters in that regard? He seems the type to start an argument in an empty room.16 -

standard fans was fair to harsh on him, I think I would loose it like that if I had people waiting for me telling me who to do my jobLoOkOuT said:Don't doubt Peeters was bully and don't doubt he fell out with key players. Anyway it doesn't ,its all about what he does at Cafc

Paul "Charlton will only get 15 points this season because of the way the club is run" Jewell applying for that very same job. Priceless.13

Jewell might have put himself in the frame for the job but that's a millions miles away from him being interviewed for it.6
