    Agreed, I wanted him to have some money to spend when slatemenez rolled in with cash on the back of varney. Think he was just wrong man at the wrong time but did manage to keep the club alive whilst Murray kept it on life support. Did the very best he could with limited players. Delighted for him how it's worked out for him and Bradford.

    Was thinking that, has to be right up there as the greatest upset in the history of the Cup. The goals were great too

    Bradford played some good football for their goals as well.

    If in 2009/10 we had been able to sign BWP instead of a year later, I wonder if we might have got promotion that year, and things might have been very different for Parky's career...

    The Co-Chairman of Bradford has just said that when Parkinson took over
    they had the worst squad in there history and Phil did well to keep them in the league. In the few years he's been there, a promotion and a Capital cup Final plus
    today win at Chelsea.

    Everyone needs to be at a club at the right time. Players and managers.
    so many managers have some success either before or after being at Cafc,
    makes you think ?

    Christian Dailly said at a fans forum at the Valley that Parkinson was a special manager, Murray said that he reminded him of Curbs. Sadly he was our manager at a time when our fans were at our lowest ebb and it reflected back on him and was not helped by Murray saying he would be judged on results and then appointed despite them.

    BBC listed every home defeat Mourinho has suffered earlier. Except one.

    Pleased for him. Think he is a decent manager. And I know from personal experience that he is a top bloke.

    Would like to see him get the chance to manage at a higher level.

    Really hope that he stays with Bradford City and guides them into the Championship.

    I've always stated that Parkinson is an excellent League One Manager yet struggles at a higher level when in truth when you look at his Championship experience it was always where he inherited teams and struggled to make his mark quick enough to ensure that disaster never happened (i.e. Hull / Charlton)...

    Lets see him take a Squad that he's built into the Championship though and see how he does with it, he's already taken Colchester up to the Championship so can get promotion from that league

    Parky also suffered from being associated with the preceding manager. It was always going to be hard to win people over, having been Pardont's assistant.

    Pleased he's doing well though, he always came across as a man of integrity and honesty.

    Having said that, the entire club suffered from being associated with the preceding manager!

    Honest manager that deserves it all. So sad we did not give him more of a chance.

    I think both Powell and Parky will be back one day.

    Sometimes people don't fit at certain clubs be it mgr or player

    He was a great bloke we established that years ago

    But he was a shit mgr for us,

    Really glad he gets days like today that give him some recognition as I feel he deserves that

    An honest guy who is one of life's triers, a legend at reading for the same reason Steve brown, k Jones and Jonny Robinson are so held in a high regard

    Football needs men like parky

    We didn't at the time and it failed for him and us don't make him a bad person or a knob same as this result don't make him SAF
