Looks good on the back of a shirt. Sorely tempted.

Needs changing to a '9', or have it printed as 'Nein' Abs

Interesting fact that the trust did not mention why would they
Over 50% of our squad now British only 8% Belguim

    42% Aliens ?

Put that alien as our target man as their good in the air.

Or do they fail the height test ?

They may not actually exist. Like Cory Gibbs, but more so

    Ahem....

The 29-year-old been registered in time to be considered for selection in Friday evening’s game against Wigan Athletic (7.45pm) and will wear the number nine shirt at The Valley.

    Yippee Revolution No.9 at last!

Eagles is not a target man, he is a wide player but he can play upfront.

Aye indeed, for some reason I was getting him mixed up with Chris O'Grady!

Good luck to him - has seemed like a quality player elsewhere, so hopefully he will help us out.

English, experienced, versatile. Probably has something of a point to prove. Good signing, interesting it's such a short contract but prove himself and I'm sure he'll be back.

“I’m over the moon to be here and as soon as I knew they wanted to sign me it didn’t matter what they offered me I just wanted to be here.”

I bet that had Roland foaming at the mouth. "Pay me what you want." "Sign here please Mr Eagles"

So now we can have a chant of "Eagles, Eagles, Eagles, you Watt, you Watt you Watt"
  • Good news and welcome Chris but at this level would really like Diarra to join him.

Risking a #straightred from @ValleyGary here, but someone replied to my tweet below 'no, he trained today' :-)

  • Just realised something... Bet Crystal Palace will be moaning about this one soon too what with Chris Eagles wearing the No. 9 shirt i.e.

    Eagles is the Palace Nickname
    Chris Eagles plays for Charlton.
Chris Eagles wears the Number 9 shirt
9 Goals went past Perry Suckling...

Frankly, I can't see there aren't many boxes he doesn't tick. English, knows the division, good age - experienced but not past it, decent record in the past, it seems that his experiences with Blackpool may well have brought him down to earth a little regarding his self-opinion, and perhaps his wage demands too.

The only black mark is his reluctance to sign last season, but as with Johnson (and arguably Ben Haim) I for one intend to judge any player for how they play in the Charlton shirt, once your one of ours you get a clean record from me (on the pitch, any way.)

This. I think a journeyman with a reputation to build / rebuild, like Roger he can only go up in value and i feel both could be what the fans need/want. Not network and English.

Welcome to the funny farm Chris.
