    There must be seats in R block that get sat on once a season (during £5 games) as that block in particular is particularly empty

    I feel a stuwall moment coming on. "But it's my seat and they've sold it to someone else" - only difference is this time they actually have.

    Well anyway, quite a lot of the responses were about us being a decent club again, doing the right thing, being admired for how we do things as well as how we actually perform on the pitch. This is a good example of just what many of us meant. We make some more money; in moving Charlton fans we help to pack out the Valley for US to celebrate what has been overall a very good season AND we help more decent fans of a good footballing side see what could well be a historic match for them. All very good in my opinion, and reinforces my love for the club.

    Of course, I hope we batter them and send Yann home with zero points and zero goals, but also with fond memories of CAFC.

    have just had a call from the ticket office asking if I'd be prepared to move from my seat in NL to accommodate more Bournemouth fans. my mates have had the same call.

    i was also asked if I was prepared to drive down to Dorset to transport some of their supporters up to SE London on the Friday night and then let them have my home for the evening at the same time as leaving cushions by the front door which they could take to The Valley to sit on.

    bit of a piss take if you ask me.

    I just had a call from the ticket office asking if I could turn up in full Bournemouth kit and also age 50 years.

    To be honest I'll do it for the free bacon roll.

    Common sense has prevailed.

    Has stopped any potential problems with away supporters in the wrong end which would have been inevitable.

    You have to charge the price charged to home fans for equivalent seats. So north lower prices are what away fans pay in the Jimmy Seed.

    Those ends of the west upper get more pricey as you move centrally for home fans so same as away fans.
    That's the basis of it, I agree. However, given that Charlton are under no obligation to supply the extra tickets at all, they could have said to Bournemouth that they could only have them at the same price as the Jimmy Seed Stand, take it or leave it. It seems a bit odd to let them sell seats for £15 - although I don't disagree with accommodating them.

    Palice gave us 7000 tickets in the 99/2000 game.

    I bet there were a lot of people pleased they gave us an extra 4000 tickets for that game.

    Just got off the phone with the club.

    They've asked me to turn up with a washing up bowl and a bar of soap. I've begrudgingly agreed to wash the feet of all Bournemouth fans in the West Upper.

    There are many good reasons for them doing this. However, I do wonder what would have happened if the fans that occupy those seats had refused to move. If they were all 'talked 'round' then ok, but if anyone was moved when they said they didn't want to then I think I'd be disappointed.

    For me the point of a season ticket is that you are guaranteed your seat. If one agrees to move for the price of a burger then great, but I don't think I could be 'bribed' to relocate for a match that I'd reserved the seat for thirteen months earlier.

    I think this is a great idea putting home and away fans in the West stand, it establishes a precedent and means for next years second round league cup home tie and third round FA Cup tie (if at home) the club can save even more money by only opening the one stand and squeezing allcomers in there.

    Are match day tickets for that block really only £15, as if so why would anyone pay more for a matchday ticket in the lower North?

    Id still rather have away fans given half of the west stand permanently, and have both goals with Charlton fans behind them.

    Can't see the problem with putting their fans in the West. Good chance for our lot over there to compare flasks and tartan blankets with the Bournemouth Youth! :wink:

    To allow 16 articulated lorries of sand and 2 of timber to be delivered for our pier and beach construction in the car park to make the Bournemouth fans feel at home.

    I heard that Greenwich University students have been arranged to scatter petals, and wave incense, whilst dancing in a sylph-like manner singing anthems, as they form a guard of honour for the Bournemouth fans walking from the coach drop off to the away end.

    I asked because that is typical charlton at the moment a little bit of courtesy goes a long way they honestly don't seem to give a toss .
