    For someone who is essentially technophobic I spend far too long on here and have done for years.

    Both the football and non-football threads are generally full of interest and there is often something to learn.

    Hard to imagine how CL could be any better, and harder still to imagine life without this marvellous world-wide community.

    The great majority on here would consider that Charlton Life is actually short for Charlton Life Sentence, so strong is the bond with our unique and special club. Better days ahead, unforgettable memories to cherish, and never a dull moment !!

    Thanks to @AFKABartram and @LoOkouT for giving up their time to run this site, thanks also for the comments regrading my health and the match threads. I also have to thank everyone who stood in for me and took over while I was off 'ill'. I hope to be back to a much healthier situation in time for next season....match threads will be on-going from me for at least next season. Have a great summer all, see you in August.

    I so agree with all the comments on here and would like to add my thanks - from New Zealand - for all the enjoyment had from charltonlife over this and many previous seasons. This is my first post.

    Blackheathen is a bit of a misnomer as I haven't lived there since the early '60s. My Charlton watching heyday was in the Bartram/Ufton/Fenton/Keirnan/Hurst era. I suppose in a way I should be an avid All Black/Black Caps fan but, after all these years the only side to get my blood racing (one way or the other) is Charlton.

    Long live the Addicks and say a prayer we manage to hold onto most of our best players pre-season.
