Another good man down - David Bishop RIP

Sad to report that we lost another Addick recently, who some Lifers may have known.

David Bishop was proper Charlton, sat in West Upper, Block K for nearly 20 years. He has been a good friend of Colin Cameron, and Colin helpfully dug out some info for him a few years ago which found that the Bishop name had the longest running playing association with the club. David's brother John, his Dad John Roger and his Grandpa Tom all played for us. Though David never played for our first team, he did play for Luton under Sam Bartram. Up until his recent illness, David used to get to every home game and made sure the Bishop tradition would continue by bringing his daughter with him to the Valley and making her as addickted as the rest of us. Please remember her and her Dad in your thoughts, especially on 8 August when she'll be at the Valley without her old man by her side.

May he rest in peace.
