Anyone got any tips for starting a website?

Currently looking at domain names... Looking for a website that can sell products and people can access on mobile phones...

Don't bother making the videos longer than 5 minutes, no-one ever sees the end.
  • Cray,
Try 1and1.co.uk, you can use their templates or upload your own by FTP

All this starting your own business seems very hard work. I wouldn't mind working for myself though.

    Male escort or something.

A strong right arm might be a useful tool of the trade then

I have a mate who does web design, obviously he charges. He's done stuff for about 3 people on here, who were all very pleased.

No he's not, but he's an old school friend, I've known for 40 years. So I can say he's reliable.

All his details are on the link. If you say you found him through Charlton Life, he'll know it's through me.

Going to start writing my buisness plan, so many things to cover. Not sure where to start!

I wouldn't attempt it except using one of the applications that do the hard work for you.

All you need are the ideas and visions and it comes out in a logical order by following the application instructions.

They can do your projections and budgets and profit and loss forecasts without any accounting knowledge as long as you can conjure up some initial figures. It's then easy to juggle the numbers to give a feasible looking plan.

On websites you can find good web designers and good web builders, they are as different as architects and bricklayers, and both skills are equally important. Means a one man band is normally strong on one aspect but not both.

Found these guys reliable and obsessive about web security
