    Was thinking of trying to go to a game, but the only one down sarf is at the Rose Bowl, which is a pain to get to by public transport, especially as its a day/night game. The 3rd and 4th matches (Headingley/OT) are sold out, while the 2nd match (also at OT) is a day/night match that clashes with the England Switzerland game...

    That's the major problem with Rose Bowl - fantastic ground but only really accessible by car (just off M27) - did enquire about getting one of the new Hotel Rooms there for works do, but was quoted 600 pounds EACH person - phone quickly put down as I had to pick up my jaw.

    You were obviously sat very near me! Gate 18....I think I was a few rows further back (row 20) than you, unless you have cropped these in?

    17 and already Surreys go to man with the ball and is chipping in with the bat!

    Left arm 85 mph a good grip of seam bowling as well as swing both conventional and reverse!

    I usually talk up young players for Surrey and Charlton but I cannot emphasise how good this kid is!

    It's like when gomez first came through except I think he's had more of an impact on the side!

    I saw Curran the other week, and thought he looked promising - but he looked tiny. Didn't come over as being someone who bowl in excess of 80 (at the moment).

    His scores for the Aussies are far too low. Rogers averages 60 and gets a 7, Nevill marked worse than Buttler who was terrible with the bat, Hazelwood 3.5 despite taking 16 wickets at 25...etc

    Maybe should balance it off with Warne's marks, where he picked Voges in his Ashes team !

    On sky the other day he was consistently over 80 often hitting 85mph! That's Sam. Tom is slower...

    My point was he's only 17! Too early now.. he's got huge potential but needs to develop a lot more. Once he fills out he will be able to bowl quicker and he has a lot more to his bowling than just bowling quick! He is also very good with the bat.

    Talking about bowlers at 90+. if you look at Johnson, his approach is negligible,but he generates all his speed through his body action at delivery - has a very wide stance at delivery but is able to generate most of his pace through his slingy action.
    Really surprised he has been able to stay fit for so long - with someone with that action, you would expect side strains and ankle/knee problems off front foot to be a regular occurrence.
