  • You're all silly

    Pope 3.5 FFS
Solly 7.5 MOM Really good I thought
Fox 5 Had a bit of a nightmare but in mitigation he didn't have much in the way of help until Bergdich came on, after which he got a couple of good balls in
Bauer 7.5 Liked what he did today
Sarr 7 Some very harsh marks here - he was up against a tank but he handled him just about ok and looked good on the ball. And scored
Gudmundsson 7 Played well again, I thought - our biggest attacking threat
Kashi 7 Scampered about and used the ball well
Ba 6.5 At times looked like the one trying to get stuff to happen, but it usually wasn't very effective stuff
Cousins 6.5 As everyone's said, looked better in the middle. Can't shoot
Makienok 6.5 Didn't quite happen for him. Missed a couple of chances, linked play decently
Watt 6 Just didn't work today. He'll click again, though.

Bergdich 6.5 Lively chap, sometimes forgets to take the ball with him

If we had a keeper who wasn't playing like a sieve we'd not have lost that, despite being a bit off

  • Pope - 3. Praise where it was due on Saturday but was shite tonight. Howler for the first goal, should have done better for the second, distribution garbage and takes an age to do anything. Other than that he was fine! Hurry back Hendo.

Solly - 5 miller ripped him a new one but he kept at it.

Fox - 3. had little support but back to how he was when he was shite. Dreadful error for the first goal. Distribution piss poor.

Bauer - 6. Worst game in a Charlton shirt. Looked shaky and indecisive.

Sarr - 4. Early days for him but needs to improve dramatically.

Gudmundsson - 4. We expect too much but he was awful tonight.

Kashi - 6. Tried really hard but is beginning to look like Ray Wilkins.

Ba - 5. Didn't think he was quite as horrendous as some others did but he wasn't great.

Cousins - 5. Tried hard. Either play him in his best position or leave him out.

Makienok - 6. Anything that worked up front came through him. Bad miss from Inside the six yard box.

Watt- 3 - beginning to understand why he's been chased out of a number of clubs. Infuriating performance.

Bergdich - 6. Did ok. Helps our shape. Should have started.

McAleny n/a. But have to say I wasn't very impressed. Powderpuff. Will reserve judgment till I've seen him play a full game.

Vetokele n/a. Looked fat and disinterested. I'd move him on. I'm bored of the hard luck stories now.

  • Pope - 4 - poor for first goal, looked uncertain after that
Solly - 6 - struggled with their winger for much of the match
Fox - 4 - got worse as the match went on and wasn't brave enough with the tackle in move which led to the first goal
    Bauer - 7 - didn't do much wrong
Sarr - 6 - scored, but made mistakes. Really struggled all game with Miller and didn't learn how to deal with MIller's approach to winning free kicks by backing in and falling over
    Gudmundsson - 7 - ok
Kashi - 6 - seems to have lost his early good form
Ba - 5 - shooting from distance is not his thing and gave ball away to easily
Cousins - 6 - made a couple of good runs into box but mostly anonymous
Makienok - 6 - provided some strength, but also a lot of mistakes. would have taken Watt off rather than Mak though
Watt- 4 - looked disinterested, couldn't pass, and added little. didn't even try to link up with Mak at times

Bergdich - 6 - we looked better on the left when he came on, but often makes wrong decision

Can I just check, without being rude or anything, but you are definitely talking about tonight's game at the Valley against Huddersfield?
Know this isn't the place to talk about players but I agree with Colin on Sarr. Thought he looked good. Couple of iffy moments but all young CBs have them. I thought his passing was generally good and he had very little support from his more experienced team mates

I agree with these marks and comments except for Makienok and Watt who I think were very poor. Don't understand all the comments and marks for Sarr. I watched from the back of the East Stand on the half way line and I thought he looked very comfortable on the ball. It would be interesting if people indicated where they were sitting during the game; it might explain some of the widely different marks for certain players.

    Pope 3
    Solly 5
    Bauer 7
Sarr 3- horrendous . Why no Alou?
Fox 3.5 - there's a 7 above on here; I can only assume Morgan's Dad.Awful in possession and partly to blame for goal 1

    JBG 5
    Kashi 5
    BA 5
    Cousins 5

    Watt 3 - just dreadful
    Maki 4.5

    Worst display for some time

Never assume as you'll probably get that wrong as well !!
  • Pope - 5 - isn't commanding enough in the box

Solly - 6 - Scannell was so good that he is one of the few players that ever gets the better of Solly

Fox - 5 - Poor bloke had no help on the left with Cousins. Missed the tackle for the first goal

Bauer - 8.5 - Never makes the wrong decision. Quality player

Sarr - 5 - Miller was all over him. Pointless foul for their winning free kick. Erratic one second then would play a good pass/header.

Gudmundsson - 6 - didn't do a lot for me. A few good efforts at goal though.

    Kashi - 6 - Worked hard
Ba - 4 - really ineffective for me. Thought Luzon was right to bring him off.
Cousins - 4 - Didn't help Fox out at all.
Makienok - 7 - looked like the man that was going to make something happen. Why was he taken off? His golden chance looked easier than it was.
Watt- 4 - He's an amazing player but he just gave the ball away so many times.

Bergdich - 6 - had the best chance of the game and fluffed it. He did offer an attacking threat though.

  • Pope - 6
    Solly - 7
    Fox - 6
    Bauer - 6.5
    Sarr - 7
    Gudmundsson - 7
    Kashi - 6
Ba - 4 - What does this guy actually do?
    Cousins - 5
    Makienok - 7
    Watt- 4
  • Pope - 5 should have done better for both goals. Not troubled apart from that.
    Solly - 6
Fox - 5 Scannell went past a powder puff challenge from Fox before setting up their 1st. Also guilty for giving ball away too easily and
Sarr - 6 kept giving away stupid free kicks of which one lead to their 2nd
    Bauer - 7 decent
Gudmunsson - 7 tried to get things going
    Ba - 6
Kashi - 7 steady on the ball and tried
    Cousins - 6
Watt - 6 tried to walk the ball through everyone and thread passes through the eye of a needle.
    Vetokele - 5

    Makienok - 6
    Bergdich n/a

  • Pope - 5 Real howler for the first goal. Shame as he won us a point on Saturday.

Solly - 7 Difficult opponent but coped more or less and was able to be arguably our greatest threat going forward. Narrowly man of the match from Kashi.

Fox - 5.5 II've defended Morgan but poor tonight

Bauer - 6 The Big Bad Miller eclipsed the Big Fat German or whatever the song is

Sarr - 6 Got the goal but did not inspire confidence otherwise. Can only assume Diarra was injured

Gudmundsson - 6 Never really got into it other than a couple of shots off target.

Kashi - 7 Plenty of endeavour. Reminds me of Kishishev which is a compliment from me.

Ba- 6 Promises more than he delivers. Shooting woeful

Cousins - 6.5 Not at his best but never hides and gives his all

Makienok - 5.5 Anyone who criticised Leaburn would have a field day with Simon on his form tonight. Fully Charltonised.

Watt- 6.5 Occasional selfishness is frustrating but even so the one player to offer any sort of penetrating attacking intent

    Bergdich - 6 Jury's out for me

McAleny n/a Are you Simon Church in disguise?

    Vetokele n/a Unfit. Little impact.

    Cousins - 5.5
    Makienok - 4

    Bergdich - 4.5

  • Pope - 5 not much sticks to him
Solly - 5 slower over the last couple of games than I've seen him
Fox - 4 taken to the cleaners all night
Bauer - 7 solid but doesn't distribute as well as Diarra
Sarr - 6 nowhere near as bad as some make out. Showed promise.
Gudmundsson - 6 much more heavily marked this season
Kashi - 5 better 2nd half but largely ineffective
Ba - 5 energetic but gave the ball away a lot
    Cousins - 6 just ok
Makienok - 4 not convinced he has fully recovered from his injury
Watt- 4 I'm sure he knows what he did wrong. Hopefully he has got the maturity to overcome it....hopefully.

Bergdich - 6 should have been on from the start
McAleny n/a ok, he had a couple of scuffed shots but I thought he found space intelligently and had a good 1st touch.
    Vetokele n/a
  • Pope - 5, should have done better with the free kick, and his distribution poor.
Solly - 6, he seems to have lost 1/2 a yard from last year. At his best going forward in defence not so good.
Fox - 5, was poor in defence and can not put a good pass in.
Bauer - 6 not as good as he has been
Sarr - 4, was shocking, he did not cope with Miller.
Gudmundsson - 6 seems he can not go past the defender any more, and to many wayward passes.
Kashi - 6 Seemed he was knacker
Ba 4 he was as bad as Sarr, which is why Cousins had to move to the left wing.
Cousins - 7 mainly for his work ethic.
Makienok - 6 at least he won some headers though that miss wide of the goal.
Watt- 5, look out on his fet, and tried to do to much on his own. Why does he come back so far he should stand near the D not the centre circle.

Bergdich - 6, added some drive.
