Media coverage

Topic to go up all media coverage of protests/ownership together?

Just seen the Guardian have posted this article: http://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/jan/01/charlton-roland-duchatelet-nottingham-forest?CMP=share_btn_tw

Also posted this which is the most comprehensive summary I've seen in a main news outlet.

Excellent. Came across it on Twitter. Definitely the word is spreading far and wide. Well done to all who are taking the time to publicise the plight of our beloved club

Just send this to every other newsagency, that article is brilliant.
  • Brilliant and accurate summary.
  • Brilliant news that it's got national coverage. Tom Barclay at the sun said he would try look into it when I tweeted a link previously.

Let's hope this pushes for more coverage in the near future

Cracking article. Makes you realise just how ridiculous the whole scenario is. Hope the "siddarn" brigade get to read it before tomorrow.

Very good. Can't believe what's happening.
  • An excellent summary of just some of the nonsense we've witnessed in the last couple of years. We should do our best to make sure it gets the hits to justify the time spent on it.

Our plight is now big news. Management digs its bunker ever deeper.
Whilst we grow in influence, they creak and groan, their cards unable to match ours.
    Duchatelet: What is your strategy?
Sell up, and leave us alone!

Can I be the first to say that I'm disgusted by the lack of comment from the newly appointed Chair of Valley Gold and CAST. Lazy bastard.

  • Just replied to the other thread on this topic (so apologies to anyone reading this twice):
Unfortunately if we're honest with ourselves we're gonna need the dastardly tabloids onside to really reach the masses.
Why hasn't Kelvin Mackenzie (*shudder*) been more proactive in his "column"?
  • Jet lag screwing with my sleep pattern, Henry winter starting to comment is bog news tbh, by far the best sports journo of the big papers

He just popped up on my Twitter coz someone I know follows him and I thought the same so I sent him a tweet asking him to promote the protest i thought he would ignore it and few minutes later he sent me a message back saying "done Daniel Happynew year "

You could not have asked for a better summary in a national newspaper. The tone is just right too, sufficiently scathing and highlights how inept it all is. I would think KM might not be finding all quite so "funny" now.

We could do with Henry being all over this. Sadly though I agree we need the 'Red Tops' involved as well, and not just with a couple of column inches!

Morning all, I was scanning other media just now and came across a new 'blog' which i have read, this blog also takes you to another copy of an email sent to KM. Another very good read. the blog is written by Keith Searle, former sports journalist and a current CEO for a company. It is to large to replicate here, so I've just added the link below-:

Good piece. This campaign needs intelligence thrown at it, without a doubt.
