Lookman...£3 million now or £10 million later?

Lookman is going to be worth serious money so should we:
a). Cash in and get £ 3 million and a £ 1 million bonus if one day he scores a hat-trick in a World Cup Final.
b). Keep him, benefit from him playing for us and then selling him if we must, later, when he will be worth a fortune?
Tough one....

The Liar has said that he isn't going to be sold in this transfer window, so expect him to go on late on Monday for £2.5m, to Palace...10

We must keep him.4
-
I'd totally accept Watt going if Lookman stays.8
-
We don't need the money.4
-
Charlton need to keep Lookman at the club and build the team so that he wants to stay.6
-
If peterborough got £5m out of palace for Dwight Gayle it's more like £10m now minimum.7
-
Reckon he'll go to Spurs and be loaned back.0
-
Nothing sign him and keep him natural finishers dont come along too often and even fewer and far between at cafc3

Not as straightforward as that, as it depends on whether he signs a new contract. If he doesn't, then we'll probably sell him in the summer anyway, or risk getting a very small fee in summer 2017 when his contract runs outGodstone said:If Joe Gomez had stayed another year we probably wouldn't have got stuck in a relegation battle and his value would only have gone up. Can't change that now.

It doesn't matter how much, it will all go into RDs kitty and we won't see a penny of it ring fenced to Charlton or reinvested in replacement players2

Absolute bollocks if we sell him at any price in the position we are in. Have to keep him, if he goes in the summer, got to be 7 or 8 million minimum.............ONLY if the money is going to be re invested in the TEAM!! I won't be holding my breath though. Hopefully the lad will see sense and stay with us for another season and then really prove himself in a full Championship season. Fingers crossed eh......1

Have to keep him until at least the end of this season2

Last paragraph mentions a clause like Gomez had. If he signs under this ownership I can't see it being for more than £3-5m.1 -
I want him to sign the longer deal that's been talked about for ages.1

To an extent but other owners may not be so keen to sell and more ambition might keep a player here longer. The prospect of a promotion season is much more appealing than year on year relegation battles.killerandflash said:

Keep him and offer him a new 4 year contract, it would be crazy for both parties to sell now.3

There is a new four year contract on the table, we can't make him sign it?Mendonca In Asdas said:Keep him and offer him a new 4 year contract, it would be crazy for both parties to sell now.

1) Uhum , forge his signature
2) take him out on the lash, get him pie eyed and ask him to sign a few 'autographs'

Yes it is. Let's try and persuade Lookman to sign a four year deal and then let's keep him for two years at least if that.
On the plus side I was in a pub over near Chiswick Park today when we went 3-1 up and an American at the bar had been to Charlton with his son, his mate and son for the Forest game and protest. He said he was more likely to come back because of how good the fans were.3 -
Stick him the laundry basket until after the transfer deadline7

The eventual fee does not matter IMO as it is so unlikely to be spent wisely if spent at all by the current regime.2

He wants first team football and I thought I heard him dismiss being transferred. With our shortage of strikers and a very wealthy owner with cobwebs in his wallet, he should have the opportunity of raising his profile and value for a better price sale in the summer, unless we are suddenly in the play offs...0
