How can you call yourself a Charlton fan without putting Sam Bartram on your list!!! :)

Was thinking about this the other day though and do think that Chris Solly could end up with Charlton for his career (I hope so)

  • Depends if you include his time in America though...?

Technically Keith isnt a one club man because he betrayed us for Columbus Magic

I done some research on this a little time who, and if my memory serves me right there's one more.

Clue: scored for both sides in 1946 FA cup final becoming first player to do so

Jack Shreeve who appeared in the '47 only ever played for Charlton

Whilst Harold Hobbis played for Charlton between spells @ Bromley and Tonbridge Angels...

Without scraping too far down the history books I imagine their is a few more from early years, does the museum have anything on this subject?

Is there any information on the names of those very first Charlton players?

As they're the buggers we can blame for all the agony we go through every week!!

Quick search on the Internet and couldn't find that, but did find that James 'Jock' Campbell had only played for us on record

This list will need a bit of refining. Players who have played 10 or more for Charlton but seemingly not for other professional clubs. I've not included any of the first team as they could all move on, yet. The trouble is without a lot of research it's hard to say whether other clubs (especially overseas ones would count) so the baseline became, were I aware of them outside of their link to a Charlton player (hardly satisfactory). Also weren't Workington once a league club? What about Leith in Scotland? Does playing for Hong Kong count?
