Impressive (apart from nicking the slogan off our billboard, and making it longer and less effective).
Do we know anything about how they have done it?1 -
Created a protest fund similar to us. Raised £4000 and spent £2600 hiring EMF Technology, "the company famed for projecting a naked image of television personality Gail Porter onto the Houses of Parliament in 1999", to do this tonight.PragueAddick said:Impressive (apart from nicking the slogan off our billboard, and making it longer and less effective).

EDIT: Agree about nicking our slogan. Pic of our billboard has been on their forum recently.4 -

Unsubtle hint for people to donate to CARD if they want this or similar to happen. These things cost.4 -
Would look excellent at the only remaning midweek home game this season.0

Good for them, we are all fighting a battle to remove insane owners from our proud clubs.1

I did suggest in a previous thread that a projection bomb onto valiant house (the tower block behind the Jimmy south stand) would grab the headlines.
Wasn't sure if it was logistical or financially doable though.0 -
Wasting money on Pinocchio masks are the way forward guys....!!3

I took a few snaps after the Bristol game, when they were packing away the equipment as we didn't protest.
I noticed these lights that have been hired; I know people have mentioned attempting to project stuff from the West Stand car park before - I thought it worth noting that these lights appear to have rotating heads. (Which means they could simply block out any projections near the protesters with more light)

Brilliant! But could we do something similar? Let's be fair Leeds have thousands of fans - more than us - maybe they raised the money that way. Maybe a wealthy CAFC fan may want to donate some cash in conjunction with CARD funds? Or we do something similar but less expensive.1
-
£10 donation goes a long way! Donate what you can when you can!
I haven't donated recently but have a £300 outlay for card related protest soon, but will donate once that's paid for!
We should all be doing our bit! I know times are hard but 2 pints are about £10 so stop spending in the fans bar and start donating it!!!3 -
The costs are high, I know someone who owns the equipment that we need to do it, they had some older stuff recently but had sold it by the time I asked to have loan of it,
He is open to me discussing further but is wary of it being confiscated or damaged when put away in a hurry,
I don't think the stadium is the place to do it, I think using prominent buildings in Greenwich or London, the fact they have lighting there to hinder the projectors backs up my opinion that we should guerilla market land marks and get the message into the nationals14 -
Sounds good nla. The O2, Thames Barrier, Maritime Museum, Naval College, then perhaps into town via Canary Wharf, Tower Bridge, Tower of London, City Hall...0

Just had a vision of our message on the front of Buckingham Palace7

There's so many places that would get the London based journos an easy story, timing and agreement from my mate and my guys and one of my vans will do the rest, I am meeting him again at the end of the month where we will get on to the subject again, they are expensive bits of kit though, I don't have ten k to just throw around to cover the cost if it breaks doing a quick escape or getting it confiscated, so I Need time to weigh up the risks2

Leeds actually contacted the police beforehand and they were able to put 2 officers stationed by the van where the projector was housed for the entire time. An option for us too if it came to it.nth london addick said:The costs are high, I know someone who owns the equipment that we need to do it, they had some older stuff recently but had sold it by the time I asked to have loan of it,

A kind of protest network.GretnaGreenAddick said:Good for them, we are all fighting a battle to remove insane owners from our proud clubs.
The irony!!9 -
Is 10k the replacement cost NLA? Might it be possible to get some temporary additional insurance cover while you borrow it?nth london addick said:There's so many places that would get the London based journos an easy story, timing and agreement from my mate and my guys and one of my vans will do the rest, I am meeting him again at the end of the month where we will get on to the subject again, they are expensive bits of kit though, I don't have ten k to just throw around to cover the cost if it breaks doing a quick escape or getting it confiscated, so I Need time to weigh up the risks

Fine suggestions, but all pretty big buildings so I'd guess more expensive. What about the Belgian embassy? That little wall on the left of the picture is pretty small, but I bet it would get the attention of the Belgian media if there was a message about Duchatelet's incompetence up there.TelMc32 said:Sounds good nla. If you mapped it properly you would be able to project across the whole of the building...0

I can just see it.. Buckingham Palace looking illustrious, a true British icon that has more than a subtle hint of our colonial heritage. Tourists looking on from all angles, enjoying their view... One eagle eyed tourist focuses his camera but something changes; what is it?!C.Walsh'sLoveChild said:Just had a vision of our message on the front of Buckingham Palace
Suddenly the Palace is lit up, it's Red and White but it's certainly not the cross of St. George! Slowly words begin forming... "Go back to Belgium, we don't want you here.".3 -
-
I can see it now.
An unmarked van pulls up in The Mall, the back doors fly open and out pops a projector with a couple of people 'aiming' it at Buck House.
Would certainly make the ten o'clock news, though it may be best if you wear Kevlar jackets.7 -
'Elland Road' has been trending worldwide for four hours now on Twitter.0

Leeds have a Fan base 6 times what we have.
They have more millionaire supporters than we have supporters.
Am i the only person getting pissed off with all the critics of Card ?
Do something yourself then.
