it baffles me why a team that has so much trouble defending corners, give away so many cheap ones1

In the old days there was a mini printer on TV giving out the results. I recall for an extraordinary score it would literally spell it out.
We have lost by 3 (three) goals 6 (six) times. 4 (four) goals once, 5 (five) goals once and 6 (six) goals once.
Basically we are are a complete joke of a professional (professional) football team who are run by a Belgian businessman (total and utter fecking bastard, who doesn’t give a shit and is prepared to see a much loved S.E. London football club of some 111 years standing (one hundred and eleven) go to its grave, even though he has 0nly got 10 (ten) years max of his own life left). What a total (cnut).

Have a word about the defending for the first goal. About 7 players formed a queue behind each other when the ball hit the back of the net. Clueless.0

Probably already all been said but here's my take on today's proceedings.
Strange selection with Harriott and Bergditch starting with Young, Motta and Fanni fit enough to be on the bench but not to start and last at least 60 mins. That being said we started brightly and were the better side for half an hour but couldn't turn possession and attacking play into goals. We went behind against the run of play from one of their corners on half an hour. Still undeterred we went looking for the equaliser and the team left the field at half time to warm applause and encouragement for the second half.
Alas the expected fight back never materialise and we conceded yet again from a corner and you could see the effort levels drop whilst Fulham's stuck their chests out and grew in confidence. The third was inevitable and was a good volley from outside the box having failed to clear our lines, yep you guessed it from another corner. We huffed and puffed to get a consolation but no, Big Mak makes JJ look like a sprinter and Harriott who was my MOM blazed high and wide Baileyesque when the keeper should have at least been worked. Lookman wasn't on long enough to make an impression although I liked look of Motta. It's not over yet, mathematically that is! On to Preston Tuesday, I'll keep you posted 8 8

Someone needs to ask the players why they go into their shell when going a goal down. Most would argue it's the crowd but today they had our full backing.
Fulham brought on Baird and having two wise heads in the centre of the park made a huge difference. He and Parker controlled the game.1

Really? 2nd half the noise capitulated like the team.BartleyPark said:We looked lively in the first half but that was it. Beaten too easily, again.
Only positive, our fans were great throughout. Proud of the noise we made, if nothing else.0

Waiting to hear how lucky we were to not have had JJ play today, because we would have been outplayed (so a master tactician might say)....1

Because they failed to strengthen at centre forward, creative centre midfield, right midfield or left midfield ?redlanered said:Also, can someone explain how RD/KM are responsible for the complete lack of threat we have from our own set pieces? 4

One less match to go and one of the matches we needed to get something from given what is coming up. So it does change things. And not in a good way.ForeverAddickted said:We always get hammered by Fulham... Never like this fixture... Still six points from safety, changes nothing 2

Just got back from a 4th division match. Passion, tenacity, skill and hunger. The Cobblers are going to tear the Addicks a new one next season.2

I don't need to ask them. It's because they have no bollocks. Anyone with any integrity would have resigned, saying "I can't do this, you'd better get someone else."jamescafc said:Someone needs to ask the players why they go into their shell when going a goal down.
 They haven't even got a sicknote.0

Chris Solly on Twitter absolute Legend, so much man love for this geezer, his 200th appearance today, saying how much he loves play in for us.7

I bet I had a worse day than all of you.
I played in goal in Chiswick before this, lost 6-1 in the rain.
Then I hotfooted it to Craven Cottage...5

By the way, Ba was really good today and taking him off was one of the most baffling decisions I've ever seen from any Charlton manager. He was so good in the first half that I was feeling slightly glad neither Jackson nor Cousins were on the pitch.9

Decided last minute to go. Logic being there are not many Championship away games left before lower league oblivion sets in.
As mentioned above, the writing was on the wall when in the shooting practice during the warm up all but 2 shots were either wide, over the bar or saved by Pope. The shooting that then followed in the game was pathetic.
Cracking atmosphere first half, with some amusing chants.
The body language of the players is dreadful. There is lots of shouting at each other after a goal goes in, which shows a level of being bothered about what is happening. BUT, perhaps there needs to be even more screaming at each other before conceding????!!! Why was Cairney not tracked and marked properly TWICE???? He's a decent player, but no Paul Scholes.
Not sure what happened at the end, but quite a bit of aggro with stewards. Then a young woman with blonde hair was carried away-legs going in all directions. Then another lad got dragged out and loads of police appeared. It seemed quite heavy handed to me.
Solly and Harriott probably the pick of the bunch for me.0

Wonder if Curbishley has now changed his mind about the fans support for the team and if he has anything to say about the players or owners?2

Unbeknown to me - been drinking with your sister n law all day!.
As for the game - shit. End of. As usual the football spoils a good day out.1

What a shit show. Beat 3-0 by a piss poor Fulham team. That second half showing was an absolute embarrassment. We are down. And as for those stewards dragging a woman out for giving a few verbals, words fail me. I feel like I'm plumbing new depths following us these days. Roland, Katrien and Murray the Judas, fuck off you cunts.4
