Club statement-T20k and Fans Forum

Now the club have openly started dirty tricks by mixing the protests with totally unrelated arch violence they have ramped up the anti. I personally find the statement offensive that they try to tar CARD protests as violent and illegal. I am amazed too that the Police are happy to go along with this rubbish.
It is even clearer now than ever that the regime hates the concept of a supporter. By their actions they show that they are getting more desperate but they are showing their real colours too.
After this latest attack on us, is it not the final straw for T20k and Fans Forum? Surely these groups should jointly make a statement that they withdraw all cooperation from the club?
If these groups continue to meet with the club, it gives KM and Roland an option to claim that they meet with and listen to fans groups. I know that the members of these groups have the best interests of the club at heart and it is clear to me at least that the best way to serve that interest would be to publicly denounce the regime.

We still need to hear from the Fans' Forum whether any non-employee of their number met RD or if this claim was another lie by the club, don't we?0

It would be good to have a definitive answer. Lots of people on this forum have asked the question of who they claim to have met. It would be very strange if members of the FF did meet the rat as nobody has said they have.Airman Brown said:We still need to hear from the Fans' Forum whether any non-employee of their number met RD or if this claim was another lie by the club, don't we?

Im on the email list of the FF. No mention of any meeting or proposal to meet with RD has been mentioned in any correspondence that I have seen.1

Someone from the FF needs to put this point back to the club then so they can withdraw it and apologise, as they have with Target 20k.TEL said:Im on the email list of the FF. No mention of any meeting or proposal to meet with RD has been mentioned in any correspondence that I have seen.

Ok, Ive emailed the question and the suggestion that the club be taken to task if its a fib about them meeting with a select few from the FF. For all I know I may have been deleted as there hasnt been any correspondence since early Feb and the POTY discussion.Airman Brown said:

Airman are you saying that the club has acknowledged misrepresenting the involvement of Target 20k? I can see the joint Met statement on the OS but nothing relating to Roly 'meeting the fans' and Target 20kAirman Brown said:

All points to the fact that they are worried and attempting to tar CARD in the hope the less committed will return to the fold. They are not only losing the plot, but also the war.0

Ah! I've seen the retraction on the other thread. Still be nice to see it on the OS as well.0

Surely this offence warrants a New Scotland Yard follow-up?legaladdick said:Ah! I've seen the retraction on the other thread. Still be nice to see it on the OS as well.

New Scotland Yard involved my arse!
Another lie?0 - Sponsored links:

For me, after yesterday's statement, no fan should have any involvement with this regime, unless you are an employee. They crossed a line yesterday. The only fans that should even speak to the regime are the Supporters Trust and we know that will never happen. No target 20k, no FF and no Valley Gold.17

Had one reply from a FF member so far, he has no knowledge of any meeting.1

I suspect not. All constabularies will have experts in matters to do with football clubs that individual may be based at Scotland Yard.addick1965 said:New Scotland Yard involved my arse!
Another lie?
In addition, while the club will have been footing the bill for extra on-premises police, the Met will have been picking up the tab for extra policing around the ground. In any event, both will have caused them some inconvenience as they only have so many officers/horses to go round. And the Mounted Branch comes under Central Operations.
I suspect, therefore that the local commander has been wingeing about the strain on local policing to her bosses and the club got dragged in to a meeting.
(However, I have heard that a new specialist Beachball Unit is being trained up to become part of CO11)2 -
Another confirmation of no contact. I think we know where this is all going dont we?6

If ... and I admit it's a big if ... someone from the Fans Forum met with Roland, they may not be willing to admit to it.TEL said:Another confirmation of no contact. I think we know where this is all going dont we?
However, surely the approach would have been made formally to the 'chair' of this group. Can you check with them?0 -
The email chain is to all members within the FF. I've included everyone on the list. So far 4 replies...all have no knowledge.stonemuse said:

10 denials now. The trust guy has now started a new email thread asking the same thing.4

Has anyone asked the Met police if they've actually met the club in relation to the protests?
For all we know it's just been routine meetings and the club have put a slant on it and released a 'statement'0 -

They have. Mr Mendez enquired about it and the met confirmed. CARD also met with the police a day later I believe.SE10Addick said:Has anyone asked the Met police if they've actually met the club in relation to the protests?

That in itself is worthy of a statement, or at least a question.
This week, the club has met with:
a) The Met Police
b) T20K
c) The Fans Forum
d) None of the above10 -

Surely Bob Peeters follows Riga?3

I called the Supporter Relations Hotline and asked what will actually happen if a beachball is thrown....was told police from New Sottlandish Yard will fine the individuals 1 million Ugandan dollars but if I provide my red card number and my bank details now I will be immuning from prosecutioning. I'm going on twitter to ask CAFC official if it's legit.

Is it possible that there are talks behind the scenes within the Fans Forum and T20k?
I am surprised that the FF members haven't been more damning yet. I do hope that this is the final straw for them. Although I understand the issues around poty I think this is just too much.
As for T20k I have never understood why the members of this group would go along with such an obvious vehicle to use supporters' good will. The aim is a embarrassment in the circumstances.
I would ask both groups to publically suspend all cooperation with the regime as it is using you all.5 -
Fans Forum is effectively a dead body imo, and exactly what the club wants. No slight on any of the users who have kindly given their time to it0

I'm not sure that T20K or FF would be described as 'partners', the term used in the correction email. 'Partner' suggests to me that there is a more formal relationship with the club.TellyTubby said:Is it possible that there are talks behind the scenes within the Fans Forum and T20k?

I meant that members would hopefully be debating their possible response. My take is that the talks included people like Sue Parkes who would be guaranteed to give rat the feedback he wanted to hear rather than how it is.
The term 'partners' is weird and they are clearly trying to hide something that would piss us off even more.0 -
I am sure you are right and I applaud anybody who gives up their time and skills to support a cause that they believe in.AFKABartram said:Fans Forum is effectively a dead body imo, and exactly what the club wants. No slight on any of the users who have kindly given their time to it
All the more reason to call a halt to KM and roland using them.1
