The brown rat, was shooting these at my pals carp lake tother day, nice bag of 14, not bad for a couple of hours....Tutt-Tutt said:Rattus Norvegicus - The Stranglers. Sometimes is one of the best opening tracks on a first album to epitomise a bands music. Straight into it, no messing about and still resonates nearly forty years on.

Great choice. I also reckon Down in the Sewer is one of the best closers ever.Tutt-Tutt said:Rattus Norvegicus - The Stranglers. Sometimes is one of the best opening tracks on a first album to epitomise a bands music. Straight into it, no messing about and still resonates nearly forty years on.

Just drove back home to Ipswich from Forest Gate so had the opportunity to listen in full to The Joshua Tree album by U2.
Realise Bono has disappeared up his own backside since those days but some great tracks on it - took me back to the days when I was on the road in my 2.0 GL gold Ford Capri listening to it on cassette!4 -
Saw him play in Brighton a couple of years ago when a mate got some tickets as I hadn't heard his music - really top night and boy can he play the guitar!Sillybilly said:Joe Bonamassa. Blues of desperation.
Carmine Rojas on bass (used to play with Bowie and many, many others) and Tal Bergman on drums who was superb.1 -
I put this on today myself whilst doing the chores. Never listen to U2. Not even a big fan. Some great songs thoughpurdis said:Just drove back home to Ipswich from Forest Gate so had the opportunity to listen in full to The Joshua Tree album by U2.
