Great album. Saw them in the tent at On Blackheath last year!McBobbin said:Temples - Sun Structures. Quality album, kind of 60s psychedelic style.
Have you tried Foxygen? Another 60's psychedelic throwback sounding band.2 -
New Frightened Rabbit album - Painting of a Panic Attack. Produced by The National's Aaron Dressner. Absolutely fantastic.1

Ever predictable, I've been listening to the James Brown's Original Funky Divas double-album, mostly, it has to be said, to the Marva Whitney tunes, solely because Clyde Stubblefied lays down some FUNKY grooves on those tracks. Man alive.0

Your Uncle was probably right- I saw him (Don Estelle not your uncle) busking in Lewisham, he cut a rather forlorn figure as he set out all his tapes to sell. I guess he showed great character to carry on making his living after his fame had dwindled. You can get a flavour of his latter year demise by this clip of him in New Zealandi_b_b_o_r_g said:Me uncle reckons he see Don Estelle up Bexleyheath Shopping precinct years ago, busking. Just discovered "Swallow The Sun", listened to their last album Songs From The North I, II & III on YouTube yesterday - 2 1/2 hours well spent!.
A triple album, each one with a different style: melodic doom/death metal, acoustic (like Opeth's Damnation), and finally the slowest, heaviest, most miserable funereal doom metal that sounds like the bastard offspring of early-days My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost and Anathema ... and he's pissed off.
Awesome.0
