This man was incredibly brave. He was literally defending democracy. I commend this petition to everyone.

Signed, thanks for letting us know about this. In a recent posting in Charlton Life discussion, I mentioned the misuse of the word hero nowadays. No finer example of the real meaning of the word than Bernard Kenny.4

News tonight said he was recovering at home, so I'd assume he should be reasonably ok, although is probably going to have to take it easy for a while until he's healed up.1

Update here.
Turns out, and this is spooky, he and Jo Cox shared the same birthday - yesterday. His supporters hoped for a decision from the Cabinet about an award but I guess it wasn't forthcoming.
