Charge on Debit card ?

I booked a flight this morning on my Debit card with Dial A Flight, and was told that since 1st June there is a 0.2 per cent charge on Debit cards.
Its always been free to use.
More creaming by the Banks?

Was the flight much cheaper because Dial a Flight added on the extras rather than build them into the price ?

Think its been like that since last June. Lots of companies used to charge same for debit and credit cards so the Government (have we still got one!?) capped the Debit Card charge at 0.2% although lots of companies don't charge. Not the banks. That'll be Dial a Flight choosing to show this as a charge. They (Dial a Flight) know what the bank charges them to use plastic cards as payment and therefore what they choose to take in their own profit margin or not.
