I managed to get his top(with poppy) from the Wednesday game last season.

I don't have a bad word to say about him.

Thing is with Morgan is that he's not your billy big bollocks type of Footballer... Its not like he comes out with rubbish comments that make him think he's a better Defender that anyone else in the Welsh Squad nor does he come out with comments like what Lisbie once did in regards to Arsenal and since relegation he's not come out stating he wants to leave.

He rarely does an Interview but when he does he's not one to hide (i.e. regularly admitted in Interviews that performances werent good enough rather than beating around the bush).

Yes being an academy graduate doesnt mean he should be exempt from criticism but there are other Charlton players out there who deserve much more criticism than what he deserves...

Not to mention the fact that whenever he steps on to the pitch he's never tried to hide away from the ball

    Bump !

Bumped this to help out the MF debate on the TRANSFER RUMOURS thread.

You've done it now - were going to get transfer rumours on here now.

Looked competent nearing the end of the season, guy is only 22, he isn't going to be a solid copy of Solly.

Think he will do fine this season if he is around.

Is that a Rumour or a confirmed Signing?
  • He is a cracking lad who instead of being embraced ended up being a scape goat

    Anyway back to not posting

I like the fact that he didn't completely crumble under all the abuse like Francis did.

You have to give the lad respect for that if nothing else.

Yeah right - we don't even get transfer rumours on the transfer rumours thread!

Though to keep it on topic, Fox has the problem of being decent when in form but absolutely awful when he's not. Whereas even on a bad day Solly (at full fitness) is rarely outright bad, merely below par.

Feel a bit sorry for him. Don't particularly rate him, but he is one of our own, and think a solid season could be the making of him.

Not entirely sure how he ended up being a left back. Personally think he would have made a better center back, in a similar kind of mould to someone like Harry Lennon

He's not currently strong enough in the air but then again has he needed it as much as a full back. He's not small so it should be coachable.

In a way there are lots of similarities with Grant Basey. His technique isn't as good but Basey would have made a great centre back where his pace wouldn't be as exploited.

Big season ahead but I really hope he has a stormer.

Morgan's great strengths are his attitude and application. He was on the verge of being binned when in the youth system but knuckled down, worked hard and proved people wrong. He shows a similar attitude to his detractors amongst the fans who scapegoat him, usually without justification.

Basey on the other hand lost his way a bit and palled up with the likes of Weaver who proved a bad influence on a young lad still needing to work hard on his game and fitness. All that said the awful unpunished tackle by that bastard Blizzard is what really did for him in my opinion.

Well I don't care what anyone on here says.
I like Morgan Fox, still young, and clearly has to work hard, unlike others with more skill.
But unfortunately the ones with more skill, do not work as hard.
Morgan Fox, does not hide and obviously cares.
Before anyone starts, no I'm not his mother!.
I also admire, how he did not rise, to the idiots who chose to boo.

I don't tend to comment negatively on opinions but "Basey would have made a great centre back" . I worry for Fox if his technique isn't as good as Basey's too
