Sorry to disturb the doom and gloom - I'm doing more and more event photography recently for a charity and need a free'ish secure resource to store/share/edit them.
Google pics are free and up to 15gb of storage. Flickr is also free and with unlimited storage as well. Though Yahoo has been taken over today by Verizon, so quite what the future holds?
I'm in the market for one also, as Adobe Revel that I used (and thought has a slick and user friendly interface) was closed by Adobe earlier in the year. They're pushing users towards the Lightroom Plan at £120 pa.
Before Revel, I did try Flickr but was a bit confused by the privacy settings (as Flickr seemed mainly for sharing publicly?). Whereas Revel was totally private Cloud Storage unless you shared a link to that folder/album.
Have tried Shutterfly and Apple Photos but nothing for me is quite as simplistic and nice as Revel.
If you are just posting photos, Flickr. If you want to write accompanying text Photoblog is better. Not sure if either have editing, if you're on a pc then there are several good editors you can get free of charge: Photoscape gives you all the basics in a simple package, whilst Gimp has more editing options than you could possibly imagine. Not sure anything like that would be suitable if you're uploading from a phone though.
I'm on a Mac. Saw a colleague and all his photos included his name in the filename, wondered if there was an easy way to do it.
You can batch edit a whole heap of file names in Flickr, I'm sure.
Otherwise, Lightroom and Photoshop can do it. I know is £8 a month but when you get into your photography, the level of editing it gives you for RAW files is as good as it gets.

Lightroom (and Photoshop which you get under the plan) are great for editing.
For storage though, although you can upload original resolution photos from the Mobile and the Web applications, when you use the desktop app, it requires the originals to be on your connected hard drive.
Apparently, Cloud Storage is coming to Lightroom (at least that was what Adobe said when Revel closed) and a full online workflow would be great - no more files directly in your hard drive, you could back them on a disconnected hard drive.
Hasn't happened yet though and judging by the Lightroom community being used to the desktop app for many years, a major change will be difficult.
Coming from another Adobe product, for all LIghtroom's comprehensive functions and editing, the interface and workflow seem a bit dated.

With Google you can use Picasa and upload them through that.

I currently use Lightroom to.process my RAW files but I'm tempted to try On1's new RAW processor which is due out soon.
