Don't know if this has been covered, but has anyone else seen the video of the 2 year old scouse (i think) kid?
Being a complete luddite I don't know how to attach video links but searching for "little girl Ice bucket challenge" on You Tube should bring it up.
Some quality parenting going on in that household obviously.0 -

Trouble is that website with its charming Anti gun control ads doesn't mention that 19% goes to patient services and 32% to public and professional education.
So some goes to help treat people and some to train people how to deal with the condition.
I would also guess that those figures come from BEFORE this craze so the huge increase in income could well all be spent on research
In case anyone didnt realise this is Lou Gerig's diseasehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SKyfGK9brs

It isnt just that website, that has been reported for days now and the info comes direct from ALS themselves.0 -
That is ALS in the states though I donated to MND in the UK, same disease, same awareness different charity. I think the uk based registered charities are more strict on where donations go.

It's utterly ridiculous to quote one year's figures (in this case, the year ended 31 Jan 2014) and, from that, extrapolate what would happen to the following year's figures when, in this case, there is such a massive increase in total income.Henry Irving said:shine166 said:

The graph shows how they split up $21m. This year, they'll make five times that. But their administration costs won't go up five times. In fact there's little reason to believe they'll go up at all.
$100m to the charity's top line is likely to mean something close to $100m to the charity's bottom line.0 -
Makes you think what mankind could achieve if there were no need to arm the world and blow each other up in the name of some god or dictator.....2
