Maybe why he wanted THD to get 90 minutes yesterday?

Why though. He's never looked outstanding at any level.

Let's hope not. For all people on here enjoy slagging him off, he's an experienced home-grown defender with over 80 Football League appearances. We would definitely need to get in another experienced left back if Fox went and I doubt the owners will be up for that, particularly considering we still need midfielders

other teams must see something in Fox, I'm no qualified coach but personally I just don't get it.

he's one I honestly wouldn't worry about leaving (ala Pope), would like to see THD given a decent run.

After THD's performance away at St Andrews last season, I don't know why he didn't hold down a regular place. Him and Lookman were superb.

I remember him being pretty much out of his depth the next week against Ipswich. It was weird, he played a couple of games out of position at right back and looked pretty great and then nose-dived fairly spectacularly after that. But then that's the risk of playing a young lad in a rubbish, miserable team. It's so easy for their heads to drop, which is why you need the experienced players to be able to come in and take the pressure off them. I can't see us getting a decent replacement LB for the amount our shower will be willing to pay. Maybe they'll see if they can un-cancel Bergdich's contract if they ask nicely.

Don't wanna see him go mainly because i doubt we would find a replacement other than THD. I know the Fox debate has been done to death on here but i would be suprised if a Champ team came in for him, he's not a Championship player IMO

I remember his home performance against Bolton, got crucified. Looks great going forward but unconvincing in his primary role as a defender. Maybe worth trying to develop him into a left midfielder.
  • Can't see it being true really, they signed Chris Löwe in the summer who is the first choice left back over there. He doesn't seem to be the type of player Wagner has been signing.

    If they offer good money ( 500K + ) I would take it .

Edit: just seen the link is Teamtalk - it's obviously bullshit
  • thought he was great on Saturday had their right winger in his pocket

I hope he stays, L1 is his level and I think he can be pivotal to us in this campaign and when we win the league title, it will give him confidence to step back up to play in the Championship.

Hope he stays good solid defender still learning and improving. However I do thibk that THD is potentially a better player the reason he had a slight loss of form was that he has been played all over the place. The ipswich game he got put to CM by that idiot Fraye. He was also deployed wide left in the u21s and first team. Play him at left back and he will prosper.

Holmes-Dennis is the new Paul Konchesky.

Positionally suspect defensively at left back but a lot to offer going forward.
Many will remember Curbs doubled up with Chris Powell at LB and Konchesky at LM.

I like Morgan and hope he stays. Could be a good player at this level and then better in the Championship next time around.
  • Top lad Morgan Fox. The verbal he has taken over the last couple of seasons has been laughable. Rather than get behind the lad fans felt the need to give him dogs.

This has only but made him a better player and stronger character. It is no surprise that there are bigger clubs looking at him as he will go on to be a good full back who can read a game as well as is ultra fit.

Had a good evening out with him a couple of years ago, and is a credit to the club.

If he goes, all the fans who wrote him off and said he is not good enough, will moan that the fee we receive will not be enough

The reason Curbs doubled up with Powell and Konchesky was that he was trying to keep Konchesky at the club who threw his toys out the pram and asked for a transfer when Powell got his place back after injury, it worked for a while when he got the goal against Liverpool but was never a midfielder.

Which is the original version of the phrase but as this proves usage and spelling change.
