3 great Working class characters from the days when you didn't have to be a serial killer.

Jean Alexander was a superb actress who was the polar opposite of Hilda Ogden, a very private lady who had Laurence Oliver as her greatest fan until he died in 89.

Hilda was one of the great Soap Creations and Jean brought her to life with aplomb.

RIP Jean Alexander.
