Glad I'm working at Stratford and get the DLR in.

  • Got the 05:35. Left Bexley on time but didn't roll into Lewisham until 06:20. Heating on full blast, no announcements and some Doris talking to her mum about how much of a lazy b'stard her boyfriend is. Happy f*cking Friday!!!
  • Absolute shit show this morning

Information for next week.Service changes, from Monday 7 November

Poor rail conditions may affect services next week. To prevent us from making last minute cancellations or causing long delays to your trains, we'll be running an amended timetable on some of our Metro routes on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday.
Morning peak trains to London will be unaffected, as are evening peak trains from London but please check before you travel as your service may be affected. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes.
Details of alterations for Monday & Tuesday are showing in journey planners such as National Rail Enquiries. Changes for Wednesday are expected to be shown in the next few days.

  • Can’t you guys jot a few notes down for the rail authorities to look into?

  • So instead of revising I watched the Panorama on 'the trouble with our trains'. I've found Katriens next job. CEO of a rail company. They have about the same level of competence as she does.
  • 160000 'customers' can't get a seat on commuter trains every day.

160000 'customers' can't get a seat on commuter trains every day.

Don't worry mate Latrine would soon get that down to a manageable number in no time, mind you all other modes of transport would be totally overcrowded :smirk: .

that guy from the Rail Delivery Group was a right plonker. "People have the choice of how they get to work, and where they choose to work, and where they choose to live".

Delusion matched only by that of Katrien Meire. Baffling stuff

    Techincally you do.
  • Not going to bite because "technically" you do have the choice to all of these things, however it's not a line you'd be hoping for coming from a group who represent all train companies, in the delivery of service. Towing the line and having as an argument "if you don't like it, then move house/job/commute" really really doesn't cut nowadays, let alone how undermining this statement is coming from somebody who should be far more sympathetic to the cause of passengers.

Their (Rail Delivery Group's) twitter last night was like a propoganda machine trying to rebute all parts of the TV programme, and paint a picture that all is fine on the railways... another charecteristic out of the "handbook to poor leadership" by Katrien Meire

What with the Brexit thread, and the Trump thread and everything else I've retreated to the relative safety of the Southeastern thread. This thread may not be devoid of hate, but at least we have a consensus.
