One for the micro pub experts. Can you point me in the direction of what legalities are involved in changing shop usage into a micropub? Ta in advance.

Popped into The Hoppers Hut in Sidcup on Sunday. Nice friendly atmosphere in there but they only had a couple of beers on tap. As the grand opening hasn't happened yet I assume delivery day is Monday. ;-)

If I was you, I'd pop into one and ask the gaffer.

Went to the Folkstone beer festival Friday on the Harbour Arm. Newish and small , but enjoyable. Mainly small Kent brewery's. Couple of great gold beers--- " wife of bath" was good.
Shame wasn't there Sunday as Dolphins were seen just outside the harbour.
We live on top of the cliff in the pic

To give you a sensible answer @Riviera is your man. I think he went through that procedure with the Long Pond.

Hop on that bike of yours and cycle to Westmount Road Eltham and see him.

The Woolwich Equitable pub is fantastic. Well worth a look people, they have live music on a friday and a saturday.

    Nice selection of Ales.

Try the Constitutional in Catford, and The Railway opp Bromley North station. All part of the same chain.
I noticed the railway the other day. Whats it like?
  • One of the best weeks of the year starts next Monday: the Norwich Beer Festival.

    2016 Festival programme

Looks like there are some good porters and milds on offer this year - they'd better be serving them on Monday evening and Friday lunchtime when I'm there!
  • Hangover free beer has been invented!

Although closer scrutiny reveals it more a case of 'Hangover light' that the De Prael brewery in Amsterdam have come up with.

  • Beer just isn't enough today. Does anyone have any heroin?
  • Not somewhere I have been but being local to it seems a shame that the Frankie Howerd church hall at St Barnabas is no longer a club.
Think it won CAMRA club of the year not so long ago.

There is a consortium led by one of the regulars to try and keep it going. It will be difficult though as from what I understand from my Dad, there were some serious financial difficulties.

Went to The White Swan in Charlton for Sunday lunch. The food was excellent, nice atmosphere and mix of people and a good selection of beers. Definitely returning.

  • Had a couple of lovely beers tonight - Brewdog Elvis Juice and Old Dairy Snow Top.
  • If anyone is ever over in Portland, Maine, I recommend a trip to Bissell Brothers for a few glasses of The Substance. One of the best examples of New England IPA.
  • Can also recommend Weird Beard Brew Company's Black Perle Coffee Milk Stout after a few last night - lovely.
