But surely if we gave Marcus a run of games in the side he will come good?

Renew your season ticket to watch Marcus Bent - Isn't that a reason not to renew???
  • If we can't afford him, how can Cardiff?
If he goes there, watch him become the divisions leading scorer!

I should think Bent believes he's burned his bridges at Charlton, so I doubt he would look forward to playing for us again.

Surely, even Bent has sufficient ambition to sign at least for a lower Prem team: Fulham/Stoke/Hull are type of team that comes to mind.

If he really can't get an offer from a Prem team, then again surely he'll choose a team likely to feature in a promotion chase - and will pay well: Birmingham/QPR spring to mind.

He'll believe he needs to go somewhere he'll be considered high profile.

Cardiff would have to convince him that their FA Cup Final appearance was no flash in the pan - and that a promotion challenge is on the cards and pay top dollar.

Just think, he could become a Cardiff cult hero - the next JFH or Robbie Earnshaw ........LMFAO
