Jackie Brown

edited November 2008 in Not Sports Related
Currently on Film 4.

First time I saw it I didn't rate it at all, but have seen it a few times since and it really is a good film. Cracking performances from Pam Grier (I would!) and Robert Forster, with Samuel L Jackson being ... er ... Samuel L Jackson!

Some cracking songs on the soundtrack too, even though dat ting ain't normally my bag.

Anyone else?

  • Sometimes, Off_it, I think you and me were separated at birth.

I love Jackie Brown - I think its Tarantino's second best film after Reservoir Dogs. I also share your Pam Grier fetish too - she is f***ing mint. And, to top it all off, the soundtracks is awesome too.

I'll stop now, in case I sound like an Off_it fanboi...
  • fug me Leroy - i pity you! LOL!
  • Now thats a real woman.
  • Brilliant Film. In my all time top 10.
  • AK47, when you absolutely, positively...
  • Brilliant film
  • Everyone loves a bit of Brigdet Fonda
  • Just starting on Film 4 now - check out that opening tune!!!
  • great film

  • I love pretty much everything by Tarrantino, least fave would probably be Kill Bill vol 2, even then that's a fairly decent film.
  • KB2 was my fave out of the 2. Agreed about the opening tune, Across 110th street isn't it? Absolutely brilliant track.
  • An even better movie with a killer sound track American Gangster...Top draw.
  • I think it's crap!

    Reservoir Dogs, now we're talking!

Great film, got it on dvd a few years ago.

I've got the orignal soundtrack lp (Roy Ayers), which is supposed to worth a few quid.

I make you right, should've said it was nothing special, crap was a tad harsh.

    Just started on itv4.

Perfect for relieving the depression, for a while
  • Great film.

"Shut your raggedy-ass up, and sit the fuck down! "
  • My favourite film, not too sure why, bought the vinyl though too as the songs are belters.
  • I didn't rate it much when I saw it so perhaps it's time for a re-watch.

Likewise - went to see it at the Cinema and we left 40 mins in.
  • good movie .. 'when you absolutely must, positively clear the room, nothing does the job better than an AK47' .. I paraphrase the naughty Samuel L Jackson character .. one movie where Tarantino does not get too over ambitious
  • Who's that?

    Beaumont

    Beaumont?

An employee I had to let go.

    Great film. Equally great soundtrack.
  • It probably is more style over substance but it is great style.
