He might not show much personally in an interview but he showed plenty on the pitch.
If he can help improve our younger players that's fine by me3 -
Funny he was linked with taking over from Slade when he states in his press conference he would never want to be a manager0

God bless hack journalists on a quiet news day.alun_addick said:Funny he was linked with taking over from Slade when he states in his press conference he would never want to be a manager

He is now living up the road from me, not bumped into him yet.0

Marcus Bent is on his way to help with the strikers.ForeverAddickted said:Karl Robinson did this a lot @ Milton Keynes didnt he? i.e. bringing in ex-players to help in certain aspects
Wasn't Robbie Fowler hired to help out with the Strikers at one stage whilst am sure there was another one or two

Good call, Ajose could do with perfecting a pulled hammy after 30 minutes of nothingness.T.C.E said:

The biggest compliment I can pay Lee Bowyer was he is the only Charlton teenager I have seen grab the game by the scruff of the neck and run it. Loved every second of every minute he played for us, quality, quality player.13

Fuck him. 2 bit twat who has run out of legs now wants job with children. Whatever. Go and run your fish farm.0

Lots of sanctimonious people on here. He is giving his time for free. He now has recently moved backed locally and he loves the game. As others have said he absolutely bossed games for us. Yes he made mistakes but he has grown up now. I'd play him against Millwall at the weekend if I could!5

I remember Bowyer scoring a length of the field solo goal against Norwich and turning to my mate and saying, "This kid will be a superstar."
He was unlucky to be around at the same time as Scholes, Lampard and Gerrard and also very unfortunate to be at Leeds when they imploded.
Obviously the McDonalds thing didn't help him either but others (John Terry) did similar things and didn't pay the same price Bowyer did.0 -

Can't stand Bowyer. Have huge admiration for an anonymous but well known poster on here who threw a punch at him.1

Oh dear how can you not stand one of our best ever players, sad

How many coaches we got?0

It matters because I'm glad he's back.lancashire lad said:What does it really matter as long as these clowns own our club
The sooner RD/KM/TH go, the better, but that doesn't stop me being pleased that one of my Valley favourites is back.2 -
What's the norm for the amount of coaches a team normally has?
KR, Barker, COl, JJ, GK coach and now Bowyer, ok know one is a specialist GK coach but 6 does seem too many.0 -
I wonder how long Euelly will stick around. Not sure of the circumstances around him dropping back to the youth team role, and maybe he is happy working with the kids, but seems to me if you want a former premier league quality goal scoring midfielder to coach the current first team, then there is one with a proven track record as a coach already at the club.1

Welcome back Lee0

welcome back to the valley lee
definitely bring some fight to the side0 -
Might be worthwhile looking at hiring a former striker to help our current ones find the net, after all its goals that win games0

Sorry didn't read it correctly first time. All I'll say is we have no idea how good Euell is as a coach. Could be that he is more adept at coaching youth and Bowyer has shown he is better with the first team.1 -
He may want to work with the kids, he certainly seems to be doing a good job at the moment. We have more of an idea how good a coach he is that we do Bowyer, though.colthe3rd said:
